My entire academic career, I have always strived for excellence, and aim to continue doing so in
the future. I completed my “O” level 10th grade in June 2020 from Oxford International School,
with five A*s in five different coursesmy O Level subjects. Following that, I completed my A
Level examination in June 2022, obtaining A*s on all 4 of my subjects; consequently, I was also
valedictorian of my graduating class. Additionally, to meet language proficiency requirements,
in July 2023, I appeared for my IELTS test and secured an overall band score of 7.
The more I read about Computer Sciences, the more convinced I became that this was the
program that will enable me to realize my professional goals in the coming years. for me. Owing
to my parents, the science of medicine has always greatly intrigued me – Tthrough this
program, I do believe to get the chance to delve deep into the emerging world of computing. I
can gain valuable knowledge of the vast and intricate computer systems, train in state-of-the-
art laboratories education facilitiesat Thomson Rivers, and learn to do initiate research work
and interpret data, at Thomson Rivers University. right at the heart of major breakthroughs;
thus, preparing me for life as a capable scientist post-study. It would open many doors for me in
the future, in terms of career aspects – including but not limited to being a research scientist,
data analyst, working in tech-related industries, pursuing a professional degree etc. Bangladesh
is a rapidly developing country; nevertheless, my home country pales in comparison to
Canada’s advancements in this field and the quality of education that it can grant me.
Additionally, renowned for its excellence in research and experiential education opportunities
(co-op work placements and internships), attending Thomson Rivers University has always been
a big aspiration of mine. Through the curriculum at Thomson Rivers, I get the opportunity to
learn from leading researchers in this field. This further strengthened my resolve to obtain my
undergraduate degree from a Canadian university; after all, Canadian degrees are highly
reputed and globally recognized. Therefore, I get an excellent return on my investment. I then
did further research into the benefits and reasons as to why I should pursue my undergraduate
education in Canada – my findings motivated me to a greater extent. Not only that, getting to
work part-time on campus while finishing my studies was especially appealing to me. Upon
completion of my degree, the particularly desirable Canadian qualifications will give me a leg
upas a candidate when applying for jobs in reputable tech companies in Bangladesh., like top
notch software farm and data driven company like Rootstack, Abelling,Augnitive where the
selection process is very competitive and rigorous. To be able to work in this growing industry
in my country and contribute to this eco system’s much needed improvements and
developments, is my goal for the future, and studying computing Science will play a crucial role
in that.It would open many doors for me in the future, in terms of career prospects – including
but not limited to being data analyst, or software developerenginnering or working in tech-
related industries in emerging Bangladesh. Various public and private initiatives are taking place
in Bangladesh in developing Technology high-tech/IT Park, increasing investment in IT related
industries and growing IT service industry for export in Bangladesh. This emerging business area
is creating massive demand for skilled IT professionals as well as entrepreneurial opportunities.
I am convinced that a north American degree in computing science will put my skills in high
demand in Bangladesh. Moreover, my family is well established in manufacturing and service
sector businesses in BangladeshDESH, and I will be able to contribute to moving to the high-
tech industry by developing start-ups and/or other venture in this area. Doing my BSc in
computing science at TRU will enable me to develop not only expertise but also social network
which will be helpful while venture in this area of business. like top notch software farm and
data driven company like Rootstack, Abelling, Augnitive where the selection process is very
competitive and rigorous. To be able to work in this growing industry in my country and
contribute to this eco system’s much needed improvements and developments, is my goal for
the future, and studying computing Science will play a crucial role in that.
Education is highly valued in my family. My family has always encouraged me to study hard to
build my own bright future. In Bangladesh, I live with my parents and Ours is a close-knit family;
I have a special bond with all of them, especially my younger brother, parents and
grandmother. I have several friends and extended family that have always been extremely
supportive of my endeavours in life. I am greatly attached to all of them and it is my connection
with them that will pull me back to my native country. Being the first child of my parents, it is
also expected that I will look after their businesses once they retire and take care of them in
their old ages in Bangladesh.
Speaking of my family, the financial expenditure for the duration of my studies will be taken on
by my fatherparents. This includes university tuition fees, accommodation and other living
expenses like transport, food, clothing etc. I believe that the evidential documentation I
