Mimic’s Origins, Backstory, & The Mimic V.2 line

● Mimic was created by Edwin Murruy using pieces of old
endoskeletons and the Mimic1 AI that was made exclusively for
the Mimic.
His purpose was to entertain David, Edwin’s son, by imitating
David and learning from him.
Edwin created the Mimic because he didn’t get enough time for
David due to his work with Fazbear Entertainment (FE).
○ Edwin’s job with FE was to create mascot suits for
Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, probably for a sister
location of the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

● After David’s death by a car crash, Mimic kept imitating David

to Edwin. He wasn’t happy so he destroyed the Mimic, infecting
him with agony.

● After Edwin’s retirement from the job, FE sent various teams

to search for Mimic and other stuff. Two teams died but at
some point they acquired the Mimic.

● FE created a line of Mimic’s model 2. Each Mimic will be

assigned a Freddy’s location and sent to it.
They were created with the intention of skipping programming
of the performances for the animatronics.

● Eventually, these got scrapped due to them not acting

correctly after being in the presence of what is described to
be a “twisted hide ‘n’ seek game”. It is theorized that this
game is either the MCI or the DCI.

Mimic Branch/Subroutine Theory

● This theory is the concept of the Mimic1 AI creating
subroutines as Glitchtrap is said to do in the therapy
sessions from Security Breach and The Storyteller is implied
to do as well in the Tales From The Pizza Plex books.
Quote from therapy: “what I understand is that the glitch
stopped being a glitch and turned into an intentional set of
subroutines that were aimed at creating the same thing the
glitch created.”

● If this theory is true, which it seems to be due to the

previously shown quote, then things like the Dr.Rabbit or the
Vanny personalities get explained. Those are subroutines made
to serve a purpose.
If Vanny and Dr.Rabbit are subroutines made by Glitchtrap then
we can assume the same happens with the Storyteller from the
TFTPP books. It created Tiger Rock, “Tag-Team Monty” from The
Monty Within, and Nexie.

Example image made by me.

Important Details Of The Subroutines And The Main Mimic1

Code
1. Glitchtrap appears to be, as already mentioned before, a
subroutine of the main code. A subroutine meant to always have
that form, unlike the main code that can change between forms
and personalities.

2. The Mimic, the endo, is fast, doesn’t hesitate to do things.

No thought process.
Glitchtrap on the other hand is slow and plans things before
doing them.
This means that subroutines don’t just imitate personalities,
they become the personalities they were made for to be,
though, they obviously still contain things that the main code
had.
This is evidenced by Tag-team Monty from The Monty Within,
where the Mimic1 subroutine doesn’t just imitate Monty, it
acts, talks, and thinks just like Monty would, but you can
tell he’s part of the Mimic1 code because he imitates the
player’s movements in the story.
3. You may have heard that the Mimic endoskeleton rips off limbs
and heads and piles them up, this is because the endoskeleton
was reprogrammed by a construction worker down in the FFPS
location to do this, as that worker was very lazy and wanted
to impress the other workers with his programming skills… for
some reason. Only the endo has this programming. (Tiger Rock
breaks someone’s arms off in it’s story but he didn’t break
off his head so take that as you wish)

4. The Mimic1 AI serves as a hivemind, this explains why the

Mimic endo from the epilogues replicates the “twisted hide ‘n’
seek game” that only the Mimic’s V.2 saw.

Mimic’s Storyline
● Mimic’s creation. 1984
○ David dies and Edwin gets depressed.
○ Mimic gets destroyed and infected with agony.
○ Mimic gets repaired by an FE team and they give him legs.
○ Plenty of teams die until they acquire the Mimic.

● FE makes various Mimics model 2 to skip performance

programming. 1985
○ Mimics V.2 see the twisted hide ‘n’ seek game.
○ They start acting differently.
○ FE scraps them.

● FE sent SilverParasol some circuit boards to help speed up the

programming. 2024(date not confirmed)
○ SilverParasol scans the circuit boards that contain some
from the Mimics V.2.
○ Glitchtrap is born as a subroutine based on what the
Mimics V.2 saw and the agony of Edwin.
○ Jeremy gets his face cut after Glitchtrap produces him
nightmares and night terrors.
○ Vanessa gets the Vanny subroutine snuck into her brain.

● FE creates the Storyteller that connects the Mimic1 code to

the whole Pizza Plex, animatronics included. 2026(date not
confirmed)
○ Shit goes wild.
○ The Storyteller gets removed after the death of
Mr.Burrows and Edwin Murray.

● Gregory, now controlled by the Dr.Rabbit subroutine, infects

the system of the Pizza Plex with the Glitchtrap virus.
○ The virus eventually becomes part of the system, creating
more subroutines.
● The virus gets to the Mimic endo in the basement, probably
thanks to Vanny.
○ “She brought me here”.
○ “I found myself for the first time when I cleared the
path” -Glam Freddy.

● Glitchtrap almost dies due to Princess Quest 1, 2, & 3.

○ He still lives due to Princess Quest 4.

● Glitchtrap lures Cassie’s dad to take his mask(not confirmed)

○ He uploads himself into the mask, infecting the Helpi
program in it. (“Helptrap ending” Helpi+Glitchtrap.)
○ Cassie gets a chip in her head, condemning her to
eventually being glitchtrapped.

● The piece of Glitchtrap that was left gets destroyed in

Princess Quest 4. (not confirmed)

● The Mimic endo gets freed from the basement. (if the Elevator
Ending from Ruin is canon)

Connections Between Nightmarionne And Glitchtrap

1. The Nightmarionne STAFF bots seem to be the ones under the
control of Glitchtrap, shown by Help Wanted 2, while the
normal STAFF bots are controlled by Vanny, shown by the
“Disassemble Vanny” ending from Security Breach.

2. The description of the AR Nightmarionne plush from Ruin tells

us that Nightmarionne comes from “that old VR headset game”,
obviously referring to Help Wanted 1, the same game from which
Glitchtrap came.

3. The Springtrap clones from FNaF AR have some Nightmare voice

lines from UCN, which connects Glitchtrap and Nightmare due to
the Springtrap clones being made even though the workers don’t
seem to know where Springtrap comes from. This means that
probably Glitchtrap hacked the system to start creating
Springtraps. Also, the plush version of Nightmarionne is
called “Nightmare” in SB, so we can assume that Nightmare and
Nightmarionne are the same entity.

4. The Nightmarionne plushies appear in every place in which

Glitchtrap is/was present. The Pizza Plex, the Pizza Place,
Princess Quest 4, and in a hallway of the Mimic chase sequence
from Ruin.
This along with the other stuff means that Glitchtrap and
Nightmarionne definitely have some type of connection.

TalesGames & GlitchMimic Evidence

TalesGames evidence, by u/Tomas-T

● Help Wanted - Story about the mad indie game developer who was
mentioned in HW that was hired to make games about the
“rumors”. he developed only three games (because Victoria
killed him before he finished the fourth) and then dissipated
(because he died).

● B7 - Billy gets addicted to “Freddy and Friends”, the same TV

show that was used as a SB teaser.

● Somniphobia - the Crystal Sphere appears in the daycare level

in HW2 and shooting too many arrows at it summons Moon.

● Pressure - this is not confirmed but it seems like the body

inside of Burntrap is Luca’s.

● Cleithrophobia - the carousel from this story seems to be in

Help Wanted 2.

● Bobbiedots part 1 - the origin of the daycare attendant is

revealed. He was part of the theater attraction until it was
shut down. They could not remove the moon persona from the
animatronic so they put the generators in the daycare so it
would be easy for everyone to turn them on in case the lights
are off.

● GGY - Tony goes to find out who is GGY who wins all the time
in the arcade game. in SB you can see that GGY is breaking
records. Another champ is named Axel Brandon Campell who is
ABC who appears in many arcade machines in SB as well. The
girl Tony meets tells him about the many school counselors who
went missing. it lines up with Vanessa's therapists going
missing. One of them says that the therapist who works with
Faz Ent is working with Schools too. So pretty much the story
reveals that GGY is patient 46.

● Storyteller - the Storyteller tree uses the Mimic1 program.

Mimic1 hacked and changed the behavior of the animatronics,
pretty much like Glitchtrap in SB. The Storyteller tree looks
like a baobab tree with half of the leaves missing and it’s
surrounded by a wall. In PQ1, above the door that leads to
Glitchtrap, there is a picture of a tree with half of the
leaves missing and surrounded by a wall. And by the end of the
story Edwin uses a code similar to the one on the wall in the
sister location room from SB to talk with the Storyteller.

● Bobbiedots part 2 - it turns out that Mr.Hippo magnets were

recalled because they mess with the electricity. it explain
why there is only one Mr. Hippo magnet and why we can use it
on a vending machine in SB.

● The Mimic - well... the Mimic itself appears in Ruin so...

● The Monty Within - we learn that via video games (especially

VR) Glitchtrap/Mimic/Mimic subroutines can get inside the mind
of the players. What happened to Kane (protagonist of The
Monty Within) is similar to what happened to Vanessa.

● Dittophobia - the story reveals the true nature of FNaF 4. It

explains why we see dots in the SL map (the dots are the
nightmare mannequins). it lines up with William absent from
the experiment (he was springlocked). It explains why the
fnaf4 places are in the SL map.

● Epilogues - during the construction worker massacre several

plastic water bottles fall to the floor. You can find some
water bottles on the floor in SB. in the manual Lucia finds
it’s written that the Mimic may have seen some deadly hide and
seek game. If Glitchtrap is a Mimic1 subroutine it can explain
the Pizza Party level that ends like a hide and seek game. And
in the Storyteller it’s said it can create new levels in video
games and it seems like Pizza Party is a level that was
created by Glitchtrap.

GlitchMimic evidence, by

● In Help Wanted 1, Glitchtrap repeats Tape Girl’s voice lines
from the tapes. He’s mimicking her voice.

● Both Glitchtrap and Mimic1 communicate using symbols, as shown

in Princess Quest 1, the wall code, and the TFTPP books.

● Glitchtrap is not a springlock suit, but rather a homemade

costume like the ones Mimic wears in his story, in the
epilogues, and in Ruin.
● Glitchtrap has tear tracks and saliva coming out from his
mouth. This is a direct reference to how Edwin cried and
spitted saliva while destroying the Mimic.

● Tape Girl mentions that Glitchtrap started appearing after

scanning the circuit boards.

● The circuit boards were sent to SilverParasol for pathfinding

so they get to skip programming. The Mimic V.2 line was
created with the intention of skipping the performance
programming, which is part of the pathfinding, meaning that FE
probably sent the Mimic’s V.2 circuit boards to SilverParasol.
This fits perfectly and gives the Mimic V.2 line a purpose
besides just existing.

I got the next point from one of Zain’s posts so thanks to him.

● A lot of things from the post-it note room are things that
Mimic saw or imitated. For example: the ice cream, the groups
of three, the hide and seek game (binary code saying “Hide”
and normal text saying “No hide”), “you are Afton family”
post-it along with the Afton bots table, a birthday party (the
Pizza Plex is full of birthday parties), and the pigtailed
girl post-it.
○ Quote from “The Mimic”: “a tugging match with a small
pigtailed girl”.

● In the post-it note room the entity that lived there appeared
to have been learning human language, as it started writing in
binary. This is probably Mimic or a subroutine of his, as
Mimic is said to learn, just like the entity from that room
learned how to write.

● In the endo warehouse from SB there’s a wall that serves as a

door. In that wall we can see an endoskeleton holding hands
with children. The endoskeleton has purple painted rabbit ears
and the silhouette of Glitchtrap to the side.
This references the Mimic endo and (obviously) Glitchtrap.
Some say that this also references Glitchtrap controlling the
Mimic endo, forming Burntrap.
