Product Overview:

My project involves developing a Visual Interactive Map for the

Australian International Academy. This interactive digital tool
provides an engaging overview of the school's facilities and
layout, making it a straightforward guide for visitors, teachers,
and students. The map seeks to improve engagement among the
school community while easing navigation by incorporating
interactive features and a great user experience. I will describe
the processes used to create this user interface in this
assignment, giving an overview of the design, development, and
usability factors that went into it.
User Interface Questions
Discuss 5 elements that make a good User Interface

1. Intuitive: The Interface should be easy to understand and use and

users should be able to navigate it with little to no instruction.

2. Responsive and Fast: A Responsive and Fast interface to user

interactions creates a smoother and more enjoyable experience

3. Compatibility: An interface that works flawlessly across several

platforms allows for wider audience reach and user convenience and
consistency, giving users the freedom to use the UI on a device of
their choice without usability issues, this could include usability
with touchscreen or keyboard and mouse or usage across various
operating systems.

4. Aesthetics: Aesthetics is an important element in a User Interface,

a visually appealing UI positively affects the users perception and
engagement and assists in creating a more professional appearance

5. Simplicity: Simplicity is essential in a user interface, reducing

the learning curve and allowing users to complete the required task
quicker, an over complex or overwhelming Interface can put off users.

Discuss 5 elements that would be considered a poor user

interface

1. Complexity: A User Interface that is overloaded with functions and

difficult interactivity causes users to struggle in performing tasks
and navigating the interface

2. Unresponsive and Slow: A User Interface with slow response time and
unresponsiveness can lead to frustration and hindering the user
experience, setting off the
user.

3. Incompatibility: A User
Interface only accessible to
limited platforms and devices
creates a smaller audience reach
and reduces convenience and
compatibility to users more
adjusted to other systems.

4. Lacking Design: Aesthetics is

an essential element to creating a
user interface, a lacking design with poor aesthetics impacts user
perception and engagement creating an unprofessional and unappealing
appearance

5. Lacking: An Interface that only has an extremely small amount of

functions and limited interactions creates for a bad experience and
limits the diverse user needs and expectations.
