Please don’t look anywhere except the webcam during the interview. Otherwise, it may
cause a failure.
Important Guidelines & Information: Credibility Interview is a video interview where your answers
will be recorded. University of South Wales (USW) conducts this interview to find out your potentials &
eligibility to study at USW. USW wishes to know that how strong your research is. Here you’ll be asked
16 questions. You’ll get ………… seconds to gather your thoughts & 1 minute to answer. You can submit
the interview any time after a being well prepared, once you receive the CAS Shield Link from the
university. As it’ll be a recorded interview, you do not need to make any schedule to submit this & no
human being is going to ask you question. Keep your passport with you during the Interview.
What should you do during the Interview: Have confidence! This interview is not so hard to face. If
you are well researched, you’ll have a very good conversation with USW. Answers should be well
explained, related to question & research oriented. Interview should be submitted via PC/Laptop with a
good webcam. Use earphone & Mobile data (If necessary).
Once you complete the Interview, send us an email to [email protected] by mentioning
your name & student ID that you have submitted your Interview on Date (…/…/…).
Expectations:
The interview must be treated with the same importance as a UKVI credibility interview.
You’re expected to do your own research so that you understand why you’ve chosen to study in the
UK & at USW.
Please be specific to USW when answering questions. For example, if you’re asked about facilities,
you should’ve an understanding about any accreditations, placements and course-specific facilities
(every university has a library and teaching facilities, so you need to give more detail than this.
Mentioning generic university facilities will result in a failed the interview).
You should be alone in the room & should not be disturbed for the duration of the interview.
It is important to remember that USW wants your own reasons as to why you’ve chosen the course
and USW. USW also expects to see a clear demonstration of research and reasons as the UKVI will
not accept scripted responses.
The UKVI has reported a small minority of student’s lip-syncing during credibility interviews. USW
is taking this issue very seriously; if you’re found to be lip synching during the interview, your
applications will be withdrawn and there would be further repercussion for your representative.
*As this would be the expectation for a UKVI interview. If you are in break of these points, this will
automatically result in a failed interview.
A detailed guideline is given at the end of this solution to continue the Interview process.
