    OBSERVATION:

    The author conveys her purpose by narrating and informing people about her own experiences
    during the insurgency of the KKK against the Spanish regime and the difficulties of being part of
    the revolution. She recounts her life as a prominent figure during the Philippine Revolution,
    highlighting her involvement in the Katipunan. When she was assigned to be the keeper of all the
    important documents and seals during the revolutionary days, her life was always in danger.
    However, she managed not only to keep herself safe but also to safeguard her countrymen from
    the threat posed by the “Kastila” (Spaniards). We can feel Gregoria’s struggles as she went
    through many difficulties while being part of the Katipunan. There’s no wonder why she became
    the “Lakambini” (Muse of the Revolution). Gregoria De Jesus’ life during that time transcends
    the typical Filipina, portraying her as a courageous woman fully committed to her country,
    showing bravery and a strong adherence to principles. She left an indelible mark in Philippine
    history. This autobiography of Gregoria will always remind us of the enduring spirit and
    dedication she poured into the Katipunan, making her one of the essential figures in paving the
    way for Philippine Independence.
