Studying alone VS studying in a group

Studying alone

- Study more effectively

+ focus more on my study (not get distracted from others’ stories; the noise outside…)

+ solve the problems faster ( studying in group – cannot have the answer immediately because they
have to discuss the answer and then choose one ; alone – have the answer without waiting or
arguing others)

+ enhance my self-study ( have to do all things by myself including searching information, giving
decisions and so on… -> a useful habit which is really good for future jobs)

+ improve my learning process ( only pay attention on things I don’t understand -> have more time
to study these matters ; no need to support others when they don’t understand any things / tasks..)

- Save time ( travelling to the destination ; choosing a suitable place to learn for everyone ;
waiting others to study…) -> feel free in studying including learning place, time learning,
wearing clothes…
- Enhance some important soft skills

+ time management skill (learn how to control my time appropriately ; cant be lazy because no one
will remind me…)

+ problem -solving skill ( have to make own decisions; cant wait or depend on anyone -> really
important skill for future jobs…)

Studying in group

- Study more effectively

+ save time (just only spend a little time for a specific problem that leader gives, not the whole one ;
the rest of task – just listen to others’ talk which is in brief-> study faster without any pressure like
when I study alone ..)p

+ study better (listen to different opinions from other members in group -> understand the task
deeply -> receive the best answer ; listen to others -> open my knowledge…)

- Motivate myself

+ quite lazy when studying alone because no one pushes me , but when studying in group -> have to
finish the task that the leader gives

+ cannot focus for a long time when studying alone because there are many things distract me from
study such as surfing the internet , watching films or videos; listening to music, playing games…

- More fun

+ not usually get in stressed (chat with others about anything from hobby to friends -> release
pressure for while -> relax my mind -> find the solution better
+ after the meeting, we can hang out to go shopping or drinking -> make me feel that studying is
really fun -> have more energetic in learning …

- Improve some important skills

+ teamwork skill ( know the way sharing problems into pieces and giving them to the suitable
member; listen to others’ opinions ; expressing my own ideas..)

+ communication skill ( not only learn to express my thoughts but also learn the way to
communicate with others in the group; know how to get on well with others; debating other’s
ideas…
