Physiological study of Dhatu Sara in reference to Plasma Proteins

Scholar "Dr. Arun Kumar N. Rathi

Guide "Dr. Shri Krishna Sharma
Year "1997

The prime aim of this dissertation was to co-relate the dhatu sara i.e.
ojas with plasma proteins mainly albumin and globulins and to develop
objective parameters to evaluate the Sara status of the individual.

For this research work 52 healthy individuals were selected and they
are divided into Pravar, Madhyam & Avar Sara. In these individuals
blood samples are collected for laboratory test viz. Total serum protein,
Serum albumin, Serum globulin and A:G ratio.

Out of 52 selected healthy subjects, 15 were having Pravar, 25 were

having Madhyam and 12 were having Avar Sara status. The laboratory
test conducted shows objective parameters can be used with subjective
parameters of Sara to judge the Sara status of the individual.

The Physiological and Clinical study of Organs and Disease related

to oral cavity in special reference to Phonation

Scholar "Dr. Basudev Pradhan

Guide "Dr. Shri Krishna Sharma
Co-Guide "Dr. M.S. Meena and Dr. Vinod Suman
Year "1997
Now a days, among the other health problems, the oral diseases are
very very common in India and abroad. It happens due to the modernise
food habits, as well as sophisticated life style, secondary we do not
maintain oral hygiene properly. It is a greater health problem now.

The physiological and clinical study of oral organs will be carried out.
Bhadramusthadi Gutika (Bhaisajaya Ratanavali 61/15-16) was trailed on
30 patients. Prepared medicine was kept inside the mouth before going to
sleep particularly at the chaladanta site for 15 days.

This medicine has very good effect in dantavesta and sausir. In danta
sarkara and krimidanta this medicine effect is not so satisfactory.

This medicine maintain normal saliva secreation. It removes halosis.

Patients gives report of good feeling of oral cavity throughout the day.

Evaluation of role of Pranayama in Promotion and Rehabilitation of

Pulmonary Health

Scholar "Dr. Prakash R. Chondikar

Guide "Prof. Shri Krishna Sharma
Co-Guide "Dr. M.S. Meena
Year "1999

The study of Pranayama is aimed to see its practical utility in

promotion of pulmonary health in normal people & rehabilitation after
chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.

15 healthy non-smoker volunteers are selected age between 20-30 yrs.

and 15 patients of chronic obstructive lung disease selected for the
purpose of Pranayama.

Though Pranayama improves ventilatory functions of lung in normal

healthy individual and in COPD scale like daily routine activity work
tolerence. Attitude of patient towards disease improved in satisfactory
significant amount.

Also Pranayama is a kind of Physiotherapy (Rehabilitative process) to

lung & not a direct drug treatment which does not correct basic
pathology.

The Physiological study of Ojus (Bala/Immunity) in relation to
Prakriti & Sara
Scholar "Dr. Munugoti Someshwar
Guide "Dr. M.S. Meena
Co-Guide "Dr. S.P.S. Jaijania
Year "1999
The main object is to study the concept of Ojus, Prakriti, Sara &
Immunity and to study the relation of Bala (Immunity) in respect to
Prakriti & Sara.
From ayurvedic literature references regarding the concept of Ojus,
Bala, Prakriti & Sara was collected. 40 healthy individuals were selected
as volunteers. Investigations related to immunity viz. Hb%, TLC, DLC,
Serum protein & globulin were done in the volunteers.
Volunteers out of 40, 18 were belonging to pravarsara and 22 were to
madhyamsara.
Out of 40, 15 belongs to kapha prakriti, 7 to pitta, 4 to vata, 10 to pitta
kapha, 3 to vatapitta & 1 to vatakapha prakriti.
The average values obtained were -
Pravar Sara Madhyam Sara
TLC 5962.6/Cmm 5958/Cmm
Lymphocytes 43.15% 41.7%
Serum protein 7.28 gm% 6.83 gm%
Serum globulin 2.78 gm% 2.5 gm%
It indicates the status of sara plays an important role in maintaining
immunity status.
