Describe a close friend.

You should say:
■ how long you have known this person
■ how you met
■ what kind of person he/she is
■ and explain why you like him/her.
Well, I would like to talk about my best friend Amy. The first time I met her was my birthday 10
years ago. The first impression was she is very beautiful. We got along really well because we
have a lot in common. She is ambitious and not nosy. Her hobbies are designing and art. She
spends a lot of time in the museums. Whenever I have trouble, she always helps me. She likes
to help other people as well. That’s why I really love her.

■ Do you think we can know a person by looking at their friends?

Straight away: immediately
Well-known: famous

The person I spend the most time with is my English teacher who is currently living in Canada.
He is well-known in my country and he helps me improve my skills because I make a lot of
mistakes.

In the evening, when I come home, I have a private space where I can put my heart and soul
into the projects that I want to improve. I definitely like to work with other people but I also
want to be alone so I can focus on the work more easily.

Yes. Because it gives you a good mood. And it is easier to focus on the projects.
