English Club Annual Action Plan

Overall Goal

To improve students' English language skills through interactive, creative, and practical activities
while building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Monthly Themes and Activities

September: Club Launch & Icebreakers

 Activity: Orientation & Icebreaker Games


 Objective: Introduce members, set expectations, and create a welcoming environment.
 Details: Plan engaging icebreaker games, discuss club goals, and outline planned
activities.
 Outcome: Students build rapport and understand club objectives.

October: Public Speaking & Debates

 Activity: Weekly Public Speaking Practice and a Debate Competition


 Objective: Boost confidence in public speaking and improve articulation.
 Details: Conduct sessions on speech techniques and hold mini-debates; end with a
debate competition.
 Outcome: Members gain public speaking skills and confidence.

November: Creative Writing Month


 Activity: Weekly Creative Writing Workshops and a Short Story Competition
 Objective: Enhance writing skills and encourage creative expression.
 Details: Focus on different aspects of creative writing each week, including story
planning, descriptive writing, and editing.
 Outcome: Members produce written pieces, with the best stories published in a
club newsletter.

December: Drama and Role-play

 Activity: Annual English Quiz & Fun Language Games, Year-End Reflection, Awards
Ceremony, and Feedback Session

Objective: Review what’s been learned throughout the year in a fun format, Celebrate
achievements, collect feedback, and set goals for the next year

 Details: Organize an English quiz, with rounds on vocabulary, grammar, literature, and
idioms, Reflect on activities, award active members, and discuss improvements for the
club.

 Outcome: Members reinforce knowledge and celebrate their progress, Motivation for
continuous improvement and goal-setting for the next year.

Monitoring and Evaluation

 Monthly Feedback Surveys: Collect feedback from members on each month’s


activities.
 Biannual Reviews: Evaluate members' skill improvements, noting changes in speaking,
writing, and confidence levels.
 Annual Report: Summarize activities, feedback, and impact on members’ skills to
inform future planning.
