Dispatcher Portal login
Lifeline Dispatcher Portal is the web-based Dispatcher portal for the Lifeline Push-
To-Talk system. To start the Dispatcher application open:
https://dispatcher.yourlifeline.nl/login
or use the local install URL when using an on-premise Lifeline Server.
Note: please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
At the bottom of the screen, on the right-hand side you should see the
version number of the portal (image on the right shown for reference).
Log-in procedure
After launching the website, the log-in is prompted.

Profile selection
If the Dispatcher user has profiles configured the Dispatcher asks to select a profile.
Either select a profile or continue without selecting a profile.
If the Dispatcher user has no Profiles allocated, this screen is skipped, and Login
proceeds directly to the Dashboard selection screen.
Dashboard
When accessing the Dispatcher the first time there are no Dashboards configured
yet. The dashboard selection screen will open up.

Dispatcher main screen
After login the main screen appears. The screen consists of multiple widgets placed
on the dashboard. More widgets can be added to several tabs by clicking the + sign.
On large screens it is possible to use browser zoom to display more items.
When using multiple screens, it is possible “Drag and Drop” the widgets onto other
screens.
Dashboards
Dashboards hold a collection of widgets. A user can modify its own dashboard to
their needs. Dashboards can be saved when modified to reload them another time.
There are 3 default dashboards available by default. These are:
Empty
Tablet
Desktop
Remember to save dashboards after modifying. Dashboards are not saved
automatically.

Widgets
Widgets are building blocks for dashboards. Widgets can be placed on dashboards.
These widgets contain functions for dispatcher use.
The table underneath lists the available widgets.
Widget
Active groups Graphic/list of all Selected and Monitored groups.
Note the “Active groups” is a fixed widget.
Active Users Overview of Active users in each of the groups, and the
current details for each of these users.
Alerts List of Alerts, such as Emergency calls, Call back
request and Lone Worker.
Calls List of calls recently received or made.
Chat Text/image chat with multiple groups..
Contacts & Groups Lists of all available groups & users.
Map Map with current users.
Video Video calls currently streaming to available groups.
Active Groups
The Active Group widget is a fixed widget on the left side of
the browser window. This is used for displaying and operating
the active groups on the dispatcher. The list also include any
individual calls this dispatcher is currently involved in.
Active users
Active users widget shows all active users in the
group. View can be changed by pressing the button
(on the top left of the widget) where group views
can be added or removed.

Alerts
Shows a list of recent Alerts, such as Call
Requests, Lone worker, and Emergency calls.
You may see a prominent reminder for Alerts on
the top right-hand side of the main screen.
Calls
Shows a list of recently
received and made
individual calls.
Map
The map widget is used to display users on the map. There
are several functions integrated in the map view, like
geofencing, satellite view, etc. User actions can also be
performed from the map view.
Chat
The chat widget is used to view and send messages to
chat groups. Only groups selected are shown here. Chat
history is available for 24 hours. It is possible to share
images in the Chat.

Video
The video widget can be used to show streaming video
from app users. Dispatcher will be notified of an
incoming video stream and can accept this video
stream if needed.

Using the Dispatcher
Menu
Select group(s)
Open the hamburger menu on the top left next to the Lifeline logo
and select the group to add to the Dispatcher workspace. Active
groups are shown on the left (fixed widget). Alternative group selection can be made
from the Contacts & Groups widget.
After group selection other options become available. Click on the group PTT button
to start communicating.

Item Description
Group type Shows group type: Half or Full duplex
Action menu Opens the actions menu
Attention tone Sends an attention tone to all users in the group
Solo mode Mutes all other groups
Leave group Closes group from dispatcher
Leave group and In case of a Dynamic group, the Dispatcher can leave
delete the group and also to delete the dynamic group from
the Dispatcher.
The Dispatcher can now not re-enter the group.
Note the group is still available for the APP users, the
APP users will need to delete the group manually.
Permissive on/off Stops users from having 1-1 calls
External user Invites external users to this group (One-Time-Link)
Group type
Lifeline offers different group types. These are:

Active users
On the active users widget there is an overview of all users connected to this group.
To add groups to the active users widget press the down arrow icon and select the
groups you want to have user details on.
Each active user is shown as a label. The APP users can have different icons,
representing the user status. Other users (dispatcher, gateways and streamers) have
different (fixed) icons.
Item Description
Show location Zoom in on the user’s location on the map.
1 on 1 call Start a private call to the user.
When clicked, this pops up an “Are you sure” window
before the call to this user is started.
Transfer to Group Transfers user to a different group.
When clicked, the group is added to this user as a
“Dynamic” group.
Ambient listening Open remote microphone of this user without
notification
Update Callsign Change the users callsign
Update Status Change user status (icon)
Log out Log out this user from Lifeline. User needs credentials
to login again.

Contacts & Groups
From this widget contacts and groups available to this dispatcher can be found. The
contacts view shows all available users.
Search / filter
Username / callsign
The contacts view includes available (online) and unavailable (offline) users. Online
users can have quick actions available to show the user on the map and start a
private call.
All groups shows all available groups, FD groups shows all Full Duplex groups. Quick
groups are all available dynamic groups.

Map
Users with active GPS are visible on the map screen. Users are identified with their
user label.
Clicking the user label opens the user action menu (see Active Users paragraph for a
description of the options).

Chat
The Chat widget shows all groups available to the Dispatcher. Click on a group to
start a new text conversation, to join an existing chat. Use the paperclip to add
images to the chat. It is possible to open multiple Chat widgets and have chats
highlighting different groups in the different widgets.
All users in the group chat can contribute text and images to the chat.

Video
In the video widget, all video streams to the groups available to the Dispatcher are
shown. Click on the “eye” icon to view the stream. It is possible to view multiple
streams, and during the streams both Dispatcher and any APP users can use all
other features in Lifeline.

Emergency calls
When an Emergency call is started by an APP user, this shows as a
red group call on the Dispatcher. In addition, a notification is shown in
the Notifications widget and in the Notifications bar on the main
screen.
The microphone of the APP users is automatically activated at the start of the call
and is 15 seconds in duration. The image underneath shows an ongoing Emergency
call on group GRP ONE, initiated by user Harry.
For the duration of the emergency call the user is highlighted in the
map (see image on the right).
To indicate to other Dispatcher that this Emergency situation is being handled, click
the Choose button in the “New” section. This call is then transferred to the top half of
the Alerts widget.
To clear the Emergency status after the call has been handled, go to the Alerts
screen, select the user in the list, and click “Complete”.
