*Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì quá khứ tiếp diễn

Trong câu có “when” khi diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra và một hành động khác xen vào.
* Công thức thì Quá khứ tiếp diễn:
S + was/were + V- ing
S+ was/ were + not +Ving
Was/Were + S + V-ing?
* Cách sử dụng thì Quá khứ tiếp diễn
- Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra ở một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ, thường dùng với at 7.00

-Diễn tả một hành động đang tiếp diễn trong quá khứ (QKTD) thì một
hành động khác xen vào/cắt ngang (quá khứ đơn)

- Diễn tả hai hoặc nhiều hành động xảy ra đồng thời tại cùng một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ.

As if/as though: như thể là
1. Điều kiện có thật ở hiện tại: As if/ As though + S + V (hiện tại)
Ví dụ:
She looks as if/ as though she is going to cry. (Trông như thể cô ấy sắp khóc.)
2. Điều kiện có thật ở Quá khứ: As if/ As though + S + V ed/ V2
Ví dụ : He ate as if he was very hungry.
3. Điều kiện không có thật ở hiện tại: As if/ As though + S + Ved/ V2
Ví dụ:
He shouts as if/ as though there were a monster here. (Cô ấy hét như thể có 1 con quái vật ở đây.)
4. Điều kiện không có thật ở quá khứ: As if/ As though + S + had + V3/Ved
