Circular to Parents (Grades 10 and 12)

Subject: Board Examinations

Dear Parents,

As our students prepare for the forthcoming CBSE Examination, we request you to
note:
• The Admit Cards for Grades 10 and 12 will be distributed on Monday, 12th
February 2024.
• Online application for the Transfer Certificate and Clearance form to be
completed on Phoenix for students of Grade 12.
• All pending fees for the academic session 2023-2024 to be cleared.
• The Centre for the Examination this year is:
Gulf Model School, P.O Box 13683, Dubai

Please make a note of the following important instructions:

• All particulars of the admit card must be checked and verified for accuracy.
• The candidate and the Parent/Guardian must sign at the appropriate place in
the admit card, photocopy of the same must be kept with the parents.
• Pupils are expected to be in full school uniform and appropriately turned out
on all days of the Examination. (Girls must have their hair tied neatly and Boys
must have appropriate haircuts and be clean shaven).
• Time of start of examination in Dubai: 9:00 a.m. and NOT 10:30 a.m. as this
is for schools in India.
• You are expected to be at the Centre GULF MODEL SCHOOL, DUBAI by 8:00
a.m. for Examinations.
• The doors to the exam hall will close by 8.30 a.m. and no student is permitted
entry after this time.
• Parents may drop off their wards to the Examination Centre in the morning.
• For the convenience of our pupils, the school will arrange for transport from
The Millennium School to the Gulf Model School at 7.20 a.m. Pupils who reach
school before this time may avail of the facility. There will not be any alternate
trip in the morning other than the one mentioned above.
• After the examination (at 12.30 pm), pupils will be brought back to The
Millennium School by the school transport. Alternatively, you may pick them up
from the center itself.

Pupils are required to bring the following on all days of the examinations:
• Admit card
• School identity card
• Blue/Royal Blue ballpoint/Gel/Fountain Pen.
• Two sharpened pencils, a ruler and an eraser.
• Transparent pouch (only) for keeping pen, pencils, ruler.
• Instruments for geometry must be in a clear pouch.

Please Note:
• Provision for keeping bags will not be provided at the Centre (Gulf Model
school, Dubai). All pupils will be responsible for their belongings.
• Use of correction pen (whitener) or highlighter is not permitted.

BARRED ITEMS (as per CBSE)

Any stationery item – such as textual material (printed or written), bits of


papers, calculator (Candidates with Learning Disability i.e., Dyscalculia are
permitted to use Calculator as per Circular No. CBSE/COORD/2020 dated
20.1.2020), Pen Drives, Calculator, Log Table (shall be provided by the centers),
Electronic Pen/ Scanner, etc.
Any communication device – such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones,
Microphone, Pager, Health Band, Camera, etc.
Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, pouches, etc.
Any eatable item opened or packed (except for diabetic candidates)
Any other item which could be used for unfair means.
Use of above or similar items will be treated under “Use of Unfair Means”
category and will attract punishment as per rules.

Kindly review the instructions provided in the admit card thoroughly and ensure
strict adherence.
