World First Map
❑ Babylonian Map of the World, the Imago Mundi
considered oldest surviving world map.

❑ It is currently on display at the British Museum in


London.

❑ It dates back to between 700 and 500 BC and


was found in a town called Sippar in Iraq.

❑ Greek philosopher Anaximander is believed to


have created the first published world map.

A reef is a ridge of material at or near the surface of the
ocean. There are natural and artificial reefs.

Ecosystems are sometimes


classified into terrestrial, or land-
based, and aquatic.
This aquatic ecosystem is a coral
reef off the shores of Papua
New Guinea in the Pacific
Ocean. Coral reefs are one of
the most diverse and delicate
ecosystems on the planet.
