SUGGESTED USES PROCESSING

Vialkyd AV 384 is used for the production of hammer finishes. Other As driers are recommended 0.05 %, cobalt, 0.5 % lead and 0.1 % calcium
possibilities of use are anticorrosive-primers, industrial paints and paints (metal on solid resin). Lead-free siccativations (e.g. based on zirconium
for cement. driers) are possible but must be tested throughly. Additol XL 297 is efficient
as antiskinning agent.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
Vialkyd AV 384 is easy compatible to anticorrosive pigments, e.g. zinc
chromate, and so suitable for excellent anticorrosion primers. It is also Vialkyd AV 384 differs in its low viscosity from other styrene modified alkyd

Primers on the base of Vialkyd AV 384 show rapid drying, good Vialkyd AV 384 are ranged between those of Vialkyd AV 352m and Vialkyd
overcoatability, high corrosion resistance, and good storage stability. AV 462.

Industrial paints
In spite of its high content of styrene, Vialkyd AV 384 has an excellent
wetting of pigments and it is adapted for the production of brillant
industrial paints. The low viscosity of the binder causes high builds of the
paints. Besides, the films are resistant to water and petrol. The resistance
of cement paints, produced with Vialkyd AV 384, to alkali is extraordinary.
