NARRATIVE REPORT OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The Girl Scouts organization has taught me the importance of dedication,
resilience, and hardwork. From a young age, I always had a desire to help my
community, but then pandemic strikes made me question ‘how am I going to
accomplish my dream now?’. It felt impossible but I did not falter. Instead I
reminded myself that I am a girl scout and girl scouts never give up. So even if
there's a big wall of problems in front of me I stand my ground and continue my
journey. I registered in my very first year of junior high and started my
adventure as a senior girl scout. Throughout the way I met fellow girl scouts
that I'm able to bond with and at the same time I discovered about the CGSMS
project that gives a girl scout the opportunity to help the community. I waited till
i'm ready and while waiting I also got to volunteer and help other girls with their
projects which made my interest spark more, giving me the strength and
confidence that I needed to start.

The time has come so I started working on my CGSMS project. I came to a

conclusion to focus on ecology and choosing our Brgy. Calaoagan in Laoac,
Pangasinan to establish a nursery. Due to the condition of the ozone layer
getting worse I decided to help my community through nature to not only
educate them but influence them to start taking care of our surroundings and to
be able to help the planet earth heal.

As I started my project the first thing I noticed is that many kids, especially
teenagers, don't seem to know or even try to know about the plants in their
surroundings. They don't even bother to know the importance of it and as a
fellow kabataan I do feel a bit disappointed knowing many of them who are
going to be the next generation don't care. I made this as my dedication to plant
as much as I can to set an example and to wake them up to reality, to
encourage them to be one of those people who takes care of our planet and to
prove that small works provide big help. After being able to have some plants I
started working on their house where I could put all the plants that I can
propagate and wait for some of the seeds to eventually grow into a seedling.
Building their house is where my struggles begin as it is indeed hard to find
bamboo and to put it all together. But thanks to the help of my work group,
friends, classmates, and relatives we are able to finish it. With their helping
hand I truly felt the support that I needed to surpass this challenge.

Throughout my journey to this project I learned many things not just to the plant
but as well to the community and myself. I've learned to stand up, never give up
and to always believe on myself. I feel happy and proud that I'm able to have
this kind of experience and to be able to meet the end of i'ts road.

As I neared the completion of my project, I couldn't help but feel a sense of

accomplishment. Not only am I proud of the results, but I also believe that it will
make a positive impact on my community. My nursery will be a readily
accessible location for people to visit and obtain plants whenever they need
them. Being a Girl Scout has allowed me to grow into a better person and
become a valuable asset to society. Through this experience, I've learned the
utmost importance of different kinds of plants in our lives. The benefits they
provide and the positive impact they have on the environment are truly
remarkable.

EFFECTS IN THE COMMUNITY

Through this CGSMS project on Ecology: NURSERY, I was able to make
a significant contribution to my community, particularly by providing access to
plants for those who may not have them in their vicinity.

The propagation of different plants can help preserve the environment and
reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is an important
step towards achieving a cleaner, healthier planet for all.

I've come to realize that even a small action such as planting can have a
big impact on my community and the world beyond. With this newfound
understanding, I'm excited to continue making positive contributions and being a
responsible steward of our planet.

EFFECTS ON THE CANDIDATE

Projects like this is tiring in both physical and mental health of a person, it
drains all your energy to the point you had nothing. I faced many hardships which
help me to push myself through my limits. With the help of this project it help me
learn more about myself. This project truly proves hardship pays off, with the help
of my workgroup, friends, classmates, family, and relatives they are able to lift my
spirits and get me all the way through the end. Here are more of the things that i
learned:

- I learned to balance both of my health and work.

- I learned to managed my time.
- I learned to be patience.
- I learned that having a quality time improves family's relationship.
- I have learned that to be a good leader you have to be a good listener.
- I learned that in amidst of your lowest there are people to help you.
- I learned to be open minded.
- I have learned to wisely use my money..
- I learned to be organized.
- I have learned to stand up on my own.

Comments and suggestions

● (Matthew)For me, your project is perfect kung nasaan siya nakatayo ngayon,

nasa baba

● (Jasmine)For me yung project mo is a good idea para dumami yung resources

natin sa mga trees, and plants, and we know naman na these are very helpful in
I think it
would be great if mas ma-expand pa yung project and ma-maintain para
tumagal pa yung uses niya sa community.

● (Jasmine)For the improvements wala naman akong maisip na suggestion, so i

think more on keeping the location of your project clean and safe from

● (Cristina)Ang perfect ng location ng nursery it's really good for both plants and
propagating them, with this kind of place talagang mabilis makakapagpabuhay
ng plants.

● (Ericka)Your project is swak na swak para sa mga tao specially sa mga walang
halaman sa mga bahay nila.

● (Krisxia)It is very helpful to the community.

● (Faith)Jhamella's project is indeed full of sacrifices and hard work. Her

dedication to her project, tough times, and passion for this scheme will surely
make her a chief girl scout soon. I really like her project, which is a nursery
where you can learn a lot of different plants and herbal plants. It brings back
the memories I had when I started to do my project, which is Herbary.

● (Jonathan)My suggestion for this project is that it will be maintained as it helps

a lot of people.

● (Anika)Napakaganda po and nakakamangha po yung location, not too hot for

● (Marilyn)Good job for the girl scout who did this project beside the nursery
having a good and neat environment it also provided a lot of help to the
community.

● (Jamaica)The nursery project of Jhamella Rose Tingco conducted is very

productive in Calaoagan Laoac, Pangasinan. It provides a more neat view and
fresh air by taking care of various trees, fruit trees, and ornamental trees that
can also help the residents that need those different trees.

● (Jamaica)My suggestion in her project is that she needs to maintain taking

those kinds to make it grow until the people there can use it and it benefits them
in a good way.

● (athena)For me this Ecology project which is the Nursery for plants and trees of
Jhamella is a perfect idea or project not only for the young girls but for her ka-
barangay in brgy. Calaoagan as well for being aware and concerned with the
protection and preservation of our environment. Not only do the participants
increase their knowledge about the environment and biodiversity through
cultivating plants but they also help strengthen the environment in the barangay
which they live in.
● (athena)For the improvement of this project I suggest that
jhamella will introduce some information or idea about the
necessity of native plants and trees will be introduce for here
beneficiary so they can be aware what and where they going
to plant or put the plant or trees they get and I suggest to keep
her nursery clean all the time so it can be safe and clear for
those who want to visit her nursery or for her beneficiary like
her kapitbahay or kabarangay.

● (Jona)The nursery is very pleasing in the eyes and the environment where they
place it is just perfect as the shades from tall trees covers the plants from
extreme heat preventing them from dying.
