(Two Year Programme)
The Programme:
The Bachelor of Education (Two Year Programme), a regular full time two years Bachelor
Degree Programme in Education, of the Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra is a
professional course that prepares teachers for Upper Primary or Middle Level (class VI –
VIII), Secondary Level (class IX – X) and Senior secondary level (XI – XII).
Eligibility :
(a) Bachelor of Education under at Least 10+2+3 pattern securing a Minimum of 50%
Marks for General Category / OBC Category Students and Minimum of 45% Marks for
SC/ST Category Students at the Bachelor’s degree of examination of the University or of
any other University recognized as equivalent by the University fulfilling the requirements
for admission will be eligible for admission.
(b) A candidate, who after having passed the Bachelor’s degree examination of three years
course i.e. 10+2+3 system or two years degree course followed by one year Bridge course
of the University or any other University duly incorporated by any law for the time being
in force, and selected for admission in accordance with the Regulations laid down by the
State Government under section 28(5) of the Act.

(c) A candidate who has passed Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Science
(B.Sc.), Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) or Bachelor of Home Science (B.H.Sc.)
examination shall also be deemed to be qualified for admission.
(d) A candidate will be eligible for admission on to science group if he/she studied in any
one of the following two combinations at least for two years at the graduation level as
optional / subsidiary subjects and has taken University examination each year:-
(i) Physics, Chemistry.
(ii) Mathematics.
(iii) Zoology, Botany.
(e) A candidate shall be deemed to be qualified for admission of B.Ed. course if (a) he/she
has passed the Bachelor’s degree examination with Education or Psychology or Philosophy
and one other subject recognized at High School level or (b) he /she has passed the
Bachelor’s degree examination with only one High School subject, but did not offer either
Education or Psychology or Philosophy, but no High School subjects, provided that he has
passed in one subject of High School at the Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level
subsequently.
(f) The course in two of the following school subjects are as follows:-
(i). Any one language out of Hindi / English / Sanskrit / Urdu.
(ii). Anyone subject out of History and Civics for opting Social Science – I.
(iii). Anyone subject out of Geography and Economics for opting Social Science – II.
(iv). Commerce.
(v). Home Science.
(vi). Fine Arts - Music, Drawing & Painting.

Attendance:
(a) Attendance shall be counted and shortage there of may be condoned for special
reasons in accordance with Ordinance 6 of Chapter XXV, subject to the condition
that if his actual attendance is less than 80% he/she shall not be eligible to appear in
the examination notwithstanding anything to the contrary in Ordinance 16 of
Chapter XXV.
(b) The minimum attendance of student shall have to be 80% for all course work and
practicum and 90% for school internship as per NCTE norms.
Fees:
Every candidate shall pay such fee to the institution / college / University under
jurisdiction of the University as the syndicate may prescribe from time to time.
1. The Term Examination shall be held at the end of each year as per details of the
scheme of examination and result announced thereafter.
2. The examination shall be conducted by means of written papers and shall include
practical work and internal assessment of sessional work.
3. The Theory Paper of examination divided into two parts as Term Exam and Internal
Assessment. The Term Examination conducted by the University and Internal
Assessment conducted by College / Institute.

4. Before the Term Examination, the internal assessment marks should be submitted by
the colleges/institute to the University.
5. The External Examiners shall be appointed by the Board of Studies.
6. The Practical Exam / Internship of First Year exam conducted by University.
7. The Practical Exam / Internship of Second Year exam divided in two parts as Main
Practical exam with Viva-Voce and Internal Assessment. The Main Practical exam
with Viva-Voce paper conducted by University and Internal Assessment conducted by
College/Institute.
8. The Minimum Passing Marks in every year examination shall be 40% for each in
Theory Paper and 50% in Practical Exam for internship in teaching separately.
9. The Total aggregate of the each year is 45% Minimum Marks.
10. Division will be awarded to the successful candidates at the end of Second year
examination on the basis of cumulative total marks obtained in the two years of the
course in all the theory papers. Division will be given separately in theory paper and in
practical exam.
11. Candidate will have to pass theory exam and practical exam separately.
12. The B.Ed. (Two year Programme), the Pattern / Model Question Paper for Term
Exam / External exam question paper should be divided in three sections of the
Examination as given below : -
(a) Section (A) - Objective Type Questions
(This section contain 10 Questions which are
compulsory & Answer in one word only).

13. Provided that in respect of the students who have completed and passed all the two
year of the B.Ed (Two Year Programme) in the aforesaid manner, the division shall be
declared on the basis of the total marks scored in all the two years as follows:
a) First Division with Distinction, those who obtain 75% or more marks at the
end of their course.
b) First Division, where student secures 60% or above but less than 75% marks.
c) Second Division where student secures 50% or above but less than 60%
marks.
d) Third Division where student secures 45% or above but less than 50% marks.
Re-Examination Rules:
1. In case a student fails to score 40% marks in Theory Paper not more than two papers
in a year and not more than four papers in all at a time, but scores an average of 45%
marks in total aggregate or more in the year concerned, he/she shall be promoted to
the next year or in second year (from the first year to the second year), subject to the
condition that he/she shall reappear in such paper(s) at the respective year
examinations of the ensuing academic session. He/she shall be promoted to the next
year and allowed to re-appear in such paper(s) at the respective year examinations of
the immediately ensuing academic session.
2. In case a student has scored 40% or more in all the theory papers in a year but fails to
score 45% in the total aggregate, he / she shall be promoted to the next year (from the
first year to the second year) subject to the condition that he / she will reappear in not
more than two papers of the year at the examination of the ensuing academic session.

3. In case, a student fails to score 40% marks in more than two theory papers in a year
and 45% marks in the total aggregate in a year, he/she shall be declared FAILED in
the year concerned and shall have to appear as an EX-STUDENT in all the papers
in the respective year examination of the immediately ensuing academic session.
4. In case a student fails to score 40% marks in Theory Paper not more than two papers
in second year and in not more than four papers in all at a time, but scores an average
of 45% marks in total aggregate or more in the year concerned, subject to the
condition that he/she shall reappear in such papers at the respective year examinations
of the ensuing academic session. He/she again fails in respective reexamination of
second year, the Degree of B.Ed. (Two Year Programme) will be automatically
cancelled.
5. In case a student ABSENT in Practical Paper in First Year / Second Year, subject to
the condition that he/she shall reappear in Practical paper at the respective year
examination of the ensuing academic session. He/she shall be promoted to the next
year and allowed to reappear in practical exam at the respective year examinations of
the immediately ensuing academic session.
6. In case a student fails to score minimum 50% marks in Practical Paper in Second Year
/ Final Year, subject to the condition that he/she shall be treated as FAILED in the
respective year, but University will give only one attempt or chance to attempt all
paper of theory and practical exam again in the next year as an EX-STUDENT
EX-STUDENT.

7. The final result (pass/fail and the division obtained) shall be determined at the end of
the successful clearance of all the Two years.
8. The candidate shall be eligible for the award of the degree after successful clearance of
all the courses of B.Ed. (Two Year Programme) by the examination of the two year
programme or till expiry of registration / enrolment. Maximum duration of passing
the course will be three years.
9. The candidate shall not be eligible to get the (a) Grace marks or (b) Notification No.
08 or (c) Grace Division, due to the University has given the provision of
RE-EXAM or IMPROVEMENT in Theory Paper only.
