The End of The Bone
The End of The Bone
The End of The Bone
We all grow up with our own person who understands us and has been with us our whole
lives! But one day you will never realize when they're gone… I lost my very good best friend.
No one understands the pain we dogs can go through, we're just like you all too… I'll tell you
about her.
I have known her my whole life and only death can do us a party… She was very pretty and
sweet! But what her parents didn't know was in reality I was always there when she felt sick
or hurting inside her feelings. Everyone thought she was perfectly fine but that was all a lie,
FAKE.. I'm glad I was the person…Or the dog she went to first. She was in her 3rd year of high
school. She was going through a very rough time.. Like feeling drained, pretending to be happy,
bullied, called names etc. you name it she had to go through. Her parents were very hurtful
with their words.. She had to be “good enough” for them…I think she was just perfect! Her best
friend Mia would always help her with anything she needed.
But something unexpected happened.. Willow had to go to the hospital cause she felt really
sick!! I couldn't be there for her.. SO I RAN! I saw where her room was and she was sleeping.. I
came in and snuggled with her. The next morning, the doctor said she only had a few weeks
left! I was sad but happy because then she would be free from her sickness.. Her parents
didn't care at the time, which I thought was harsh! The only people or pets who were there to
support her was me, and her bestie. The worst part was her parents told her to “suck it up”
But like the old saying goes “ people only care about you when your gone”
So I did what any dog would do, give her the greatest memories before she leaves.. Firstly we
took a walk, but I had to walk at a very slow pace because of her sickness. Then we ate food
together, watched movies, and had a dance party!! Everything was perfect.. Until Willow had
Mia over for a sleepover! It was fine till her parents came in. They started shouting at her for
“leaving the dog’s toys on the floor” even though she does her chores she is given. It wasn't
fair; she yelled back in her eyes pure emptiness. She told Mia to come another time and she
said “sure we can hang tomorrow after school to finish Mrs. Honey’s assignment!” The next
day it was Thursday, Willow told me everything about her day. Saying that there is always a
group of girls bullying her! I got mad and started barking loudly. She laughed hard…
Her last day was on Friday 18, 2008… She told me before she would leave that “ Mia is gonna
take great care of me, and she will always be watching over me” At least I got to snuggle with
her. She was the most kind-hearted owner I have ever had! The day she passed away I visited
her room one last time.. All the old memories came flowing back to me of when we were little.
Then Mia took me to her house! She was crying day and night because she lost the only
person she cared about… Two years passed and I still feel the pain I went through 2 years
ago.. My life got better but the pain is still there. I had the best times with Mia and her
family. Willow's parents aren’t living in the city anymore and today is Willow’s Birthday!! I
wore a black bow tie and her best friend wore a black dress. Mia bought her flowers, and a
birthday card.
She drove to the stone where she was.. Mia was reading the card she wrote to her! I pictured
her smiling and laughing. So when you have special people in your life, you have to cherish
the moments you have with them because you never know when the moments fade
away…your loved ones could disappear any second…And the people Thank you Willow, for
everything…
