Ghost Stories: John, Are You Down There?

About this ebook
Around the age of 12, I was inspired to write about strange and scary things because of the events that took place in my grandparents house. There are many stories that go along with that house and one ghost along with it. His name is John, and he is the ghost that lurks in my grandparents house to this very day. Many of the ghostly experiences that I personally witnessed in my grandparents house tie in with my stories; also a lot of the characters are based on my family members and friends that were there with me through these scary times. Just remember, every little creek, knock, or shadow might not just be your imagination. If you dare to enter this book, be ready to experience the chilling sensation down your spine, the feeling of nowhere to turn, and the presence of the unknown surrounding you.
Searra Sawka
My name is Searra Sawka and I am 16 years old. I wrote my scary story book at the age of 12 and its finally getting published! I live in Whitehall, PA, with my Mom, Dad, brother, and my Papillion, Jasmin. On my free time I love hanging out with friends, going on the computer, playing piano, singing, and spending time with my family. When I’m older I want to move to Los Angeles and hopefully attend college out there where I will be studying in the medical fields. I also hope to one day become a famous model/actress and travel the world. Never stop believing in yourself and don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t do something, if you want it go for it.

Jimmy hated going plant shopping with his parents. So, he said, "The only way that I’ll go plant shopping is if we can stop at the book store so I can get a new scary story book." His parents agreed, but only if he behaved while plant shopping.
Later on that day when Jimmy got home, he was very anxious to read his new scary story book. He hopped on his bed and opened the first page of his scary story book.
Jimmy felt much attached to this book. It was so interesting that it made him feel like he was actually a part of the book and like he was in his own scary world. He stayed up through all the hours of the night reading and by the time it was morning, he was just about to read the ending. But, instead of reading the ending, Jimmy decided to close the book and try to figure it out himself.
That afternoon, Jimmy saw his mom looking out the kitchen window and into the backyard, trying to figure out where to plant all her new seeds and how everything should end up looking. But first, I have to rip out all the vines…
Jimmy interrupted his mom screaming, "Don’t go near
