    1. Bisectors of angles B and C of a triangle ABC intersect each other at the point O. Prove that
    ∠BOC = 90° + ∠A/2 (fig 6.16)

    2. If the diagonals of a parallelogram are equal, then show that it


    is a rectangle.

    3. Show that the diagonals of a square are equal and bisect


    each other at right angles

    4. Diagonal AC of a parallelogram ABCD bisects


    ∠ A . Show that
    (i) it bisects ∠ C also, Fig. 6.16
    (ii) ABCD is a rhombus

    5. In an isosceles triangle ABC with AB = AC, D and E are points on BC such that BE = CD .
    Show that AD = AE.

    6. ABC and DBC are two isosceles triangles on the same base BC (see Fig). Show that
    <ABD = ∠ ACD.

    7. In an isosceles triangle ABC, with AB = AC, the bisectors of ∠ B and


    ∠ C intersect each other at O. Join A to O. Show that :
    (i) OB = OC (ii) AO bisects ∠ A

    8. POQ is a line. Ray OR is perpendicular to line PQ. OS is another ray


    lying between rays OP and OR. Prove that
    ∠ ROS =1/2(∠ QOS – ∠ POS).
