‘Water -the elixir of life’. When people have ample facilities, they don’t care but when they are short of it then only, they
realise how important it is to them. As water scarcity is all around in the metro cities, the situation is alarming. The
man’s body is 70% water. Water is probably the most important resource on earth. Water is essential for life, i.e., plant
life, animal life as well as human life. It is also needed for many human activities, such as cooking and washing.
What would the future be without water? Are we doing enough to save it? Perhaps not. Human callousness towards the
misuse of water is taking him to a dungeon of its scarcity. The acute shortage of water is going to affect adversely on all.
People throw garbage in the Yamuna. Water pollution is on the rise. The day is not so far away when it will prove right,
‘Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink’.
The need of the hour is to use it judiciously. People should use it moderately. One should use used water for plants.
Everyone should stop washing cars with running water. A pledge should be taken to conserve this universal solvent. The
motto of ‘Save Water – Save Life’ should be understood. The wholehearted efforts must be put it to save it.
Let us live, let her live, and let us help her live with pride courage, and freedom.

URI: The surgical strike is a 2019 Indian-Hindi language military action film written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar
and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies banner. A fictionally dramatized account of the true event of
the retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack, the film stars Vicky Kaushal along with Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari and
Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles, and tells the story of Major Vihaan Shergill (Vicky Kaushal) of the Para special forces,
Indian Army, who played a leading role in the events.
It was released on 11th January 2019 to critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike, praising the performances of the
cast, screenplay, action sequences, sound design, direction and technical aspects and was also a recipient of various
accolades including four National Film Awards. Made on a budget of ₹25 crore, the film grossed ₹359.73 crore
worldwide and went on to become the 29th highest-grossing Indian film ever made. It was declared a ‘blockbuster’ by
Box Office India.
The narrative has been kept lean and crisp deducing any extra fat that takes any unnecessary space yet beautifully
portrays the life of a soldier, both on the warfield and at home. Vicky Kaushal has been in especially good form as the
protagonist, looking every bit the army man. He brings both the bulked-up physicality and the sort of steely
determination that the part requires. The story is high on emotional connect. One can relate to the sacrifices a soldier
makes while serving his country.
Apart from a few technical glitches, this film is filled with action, thriller and patriotism and is a must-watch especially
for connoisseurs of military action films.

Holly Jackson is a British author of young adult novels. She is best known for her Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a young adult mystery debut novel by Holly Jackson. The novel is the first in a series of
three novels and one novella: A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (2019); Good Girl, Bad Blood (2020); As Good as Dead
(2021); and Kill of Joy (2022).
The plot follows an investigation carried out by 17-year old true crime enthusiast Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi, a high school
student in the fictional town of little Kilton, Buckinghamshire (or Fairview). In the novel, Pip plans to investigate a five-
year old murder-suicide case involving the murder of “Andie” Bell and the suicide of her boyfriend Salil “Sal” Singh under
the guise of a school project. Her objectives are to exonerate Sal, whom she is convinced is falsely accused of killing
Andie Bell, and to uncover the true perpetrator with the help of Sal’s elder brother Ravi Singh.
The entire storyline includes mystery, adventure, drama, thriller, and just the right amount of romance in it. The
language is easy and straightforward. The author does not over-exaggerate the characters' personalities which makes
the story seem more “real-life”. Every little detail mentioned came to use at some point in the investigation. With every
chapter, something new is uncovered, something murkier than before. With every chapter, the finger is pointed at
someone new, only to realize in the next chapter that it could be another person. The fact that the people those who
were the least expected turned out to be the reason behind Salil and Andie’s deaths provides a thrilling plot twist at the
end.
A brutal murder, a wrong conviction and the unveiling of the darkest secrets. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a Young
Adult mystery thriller that should not be missed.

The Aligarh College organized its annual cultural program yesterday in their giant college auditorium. This is the most
awaited day for all the students of the college. Like the other years, the secretary of the student association of the
college published the official notification for all the students along with professors. All the students were requested to
participate in the program.
The auditorium had been set up in a grandeur arrangement. All the gates were covered with flowers and beautiful lights.
Yesterday by 10:30 in the morning the program started with an inauguration by the honourable principal and the chief
guest, Alakananda Roy. Then an opening musical presentation made the audience feel the warmth.
After that, the cultural program presented a marvellous kathak performance along with a composed contemporary
song. Then a drama was staged composed by the students in the honor of William Shakespeare. Thereafter, a beautiful
chorus performance representing the colours of India was performed by the students. All the audience experienced a
wonderful day in the program.
The last performance was immensely intense as it was dedicated to the social workers who are dedicating their life
every day to bring positive changes to the world. After the end of the traditional cultural programs by the students, a
special surprise of an authentic Kuchipudi performance was presented by the dearest guest Alakananda Roy. It gave a
delightful ending to the evening. It was really an awful experience for me to be a part of it.

Good Morning respected principal, teachers, and my dear friends. Today, I, Mukul/Mahima, stand before you all, to
highlight the importance of cleanliness.
In the words of the great John Wesley,
“Cleanliness is next to godliness”
Cleanliness is the state or quality of being clean or being kept clean. It is essential for everyone to learn about
cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and the various diseases that are caused due to poor hygienic conditions. It is crucial for
physical well-being and maintaining a healthy environment at home and at school. An unclean environment is an
invitation for a lot of mosquitoes to breed in and spread deadly diseases. On the other hand, not maintaining personal
hygiene leads to a lot of skin problems and decreased immunity.
The habits learnt at a young age get embedded into one’s personality. Even if we inculcate certain habits like washing
hands before and after meals, regular brushing and bathing from a young age, we are not bothered about keeping public
places clean. For this, on 2nd October, 2014, the Indian Prime Minister launched a nation-wide cleanliness campaign,
“Swachh Bharat” to provide sanitation facilities to every family, including toilets, solid and liquid waste disposal systems,
village cleanliness, and safe and adequate drinking water supply. Teachers and students of schools are joining this ‘Clean
India Campaign’ very actively with great fervour and joy.
Good health will ensure a healthy mind, which will lead to increased overall productivity resulting in higher standards of
living, thus developing the economy. It will boost India’s international image. Thus, a clean environment is a green
environment with less people falling ill. Cleanliness, hence, is defined to be the emblem of purity of mind.
Thank you.
