A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN TECHNOLOGY AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

At the end of the lesson the students can:


a. Define the input and output device.
b. Enumerate the different input and output peripheral devices of a computer
c. Identify the functions of the different input and output peripheral devices of computer
system.

We are going to discuss the different input and
output devices that are being use to make the
computer function well.

device and output device is?

Input Devices – are devices that we use that


accept data and instructions from the user of
form another computer system.

Output devices are any piece of computer


hardware that displays or show results after the
computer has processed the input data that has
been entered.

Let us first discuss the input devices, there are


two type of input devices, the first one is use to
enter or input data using this device.

called direct entry devices. This input device are
forms of input which does not require data to be
keyed by someone sitting at a keyboard.

We have 3 categories of direct entry devices. This


are pointing devices, scanning devices and voice
input devices.

Now, what are pointing devices, this input


devices that are used to move the pointer or the
cursor on the screen.

Tubes.
