    MATHEMATICS PLE TIPS 2023 BASED ON MODERATED

    1.Al working should be shown clearly when;

    1. Multiplying numbers
    2. Adding number that requires regrouping
    3. Dividing

    Subtracting numbers that requires regrouping.

    2.Graphics and drawing

    ● Drawing should done using pencil


    ● Encourage learners to shade smartly especially in fractional figures

    Pencil should not be use in any identity especially for angles.

    3.Units.

    ● Any working without the required unit will not be mark.

    When finding area, volume, capacity learners should write the formula correctly.

    4.comparisions of items and the given prices especially in table of bill.

    ● Cross multiplication is not allowed.

    8.Neatness.

    ● Necessary crossing is allowed if it’s done once or twice.


    ● Unnecessary crossing that lead to dirty work is prohibited.
    ● When crossing work that learner might have written badly he or she is encourage to do the
    crossing using blue print pen not pencil.
    ● Poor handwriting may lead to loss of marks.
    ● Learners are encourage to use commas, when writing numbers beyond hundreds, thousands.

    9.Finding sequence.

    ● Working should be done clearly and the Connecting sequence intervals should be well
    labelled.
    ● Encourage learners to practice finding sum of the last two numbers in the sequence this where
    they are incompetent.
    ● Revise various numbers, triangular numbers, square numbers, prime numbers, odd numbers,
    and multiples.

    ● When dealing with two event sets, if learners are given numbers which can be subtracted, the
    working should be done outside. This enable neatness
    ● For questions where question be (b) says if the number of pupils who dislike English Is equal to
    the number of the number of pupils who do not like any of the two subjects, emphasize the
    use of Equations.
