abOut the Manual

his Beti Bachao Beti Padhao operational manual

T has been divided into three broad sections for ease


of navigation and understanding. The first section
contains the introduction and overall background of
the scheme with regard to its objectives, targets and audience.
The other two sections have been segregated into a activities
manual (containing the directives for a holistic and robust
implementation of the scheme activities for various stakeholders
and the necessary convergent action for the same) and an
administrative manual (comprising of the operational instructions
at all levels of administration from National to District level).

This manual has been developed with some innovative tools


that have been streamlined and specifically designed to aid the
implementation machinery in a sustained and inclusive manner
round the year. The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao activity calendar
is being introduced in the manual for guided interventions, along
with a template for recording innovation and best practices. A
special mechanism of performance ranking of districts will also
be done with the help of District Score Card being introduced
in the manual.
