Installation Instructions for PCC1301 to PCC1302

Conversion Kit 541−1431
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Read these instructions completely and become
familiar with safety warnings, cautions, and proce-
dures before starting the installation.

WARNING Incorrect installation, service, or

parts replacement can result in severe person-
al injury, death, and/or equipment damage. Ser-
vice personnel must be trained and experi-
enced to perform electrical and mechanical
component installations.
CAUTION A generator set control must be
serviced only by technically qualified person-
nel. High voltages are present. These voltages
can cause electrical shock, resulting in person-
al injury.
Even with power removed, improper handling
of components can cause electrostatic dis-
charge and damage to circuit components.

NOTE: Load control by these relays differs

depending on the generator set
model. Due to the unpredictable per-
formance of smaller relays, it is rec-
ommended the 0307−2968−03
(12V) or 0307−2968−04 (24V),
30−Amp relays be used. This should
provide sufficient current to the fuel
shutoff pump and starter.

the J11−21 and connect the positive−side to
the Relay Coil B+ for the Starter Relay (K7)
installation.
