Time and place: October 14rd – October 20th 2024., ARSENAL HVAR
Right of participate: A maximum of 150 chess players who have a FIDE number.
System of competition: Swiss system, 9 rounds of FIDE variant, open tournament for all registered players.
Rate of play: 90 for whole game with addition time of 30 seconds starting from the first move.
Rating: Tournament will be rated for FIDE standard and national rating list.
Total prize fund: 15.500 € (payment to the bank accounts within 5 days)

Registration fee for 3rd Open Hvar 2024:
Registration fees paid until September 13, 2024. amount to:
60 € for players with rating 2400 and higher. FIDE standard rating list from October 1, 2024.
40 € for youth players (up to 16 years)
50 € for all others
Registration fees paid from September 14, 2024. to September 30, 2024. are increased by 30%.
Registration fees paid from October 1, 2024. to October 13, 2024. are increased by 50%.
The registration fee for blitz tournament for players 3. OPEN HVAR 2024 is € 10, and for other players the
registration fee is € 15.

Opening ceremony is on Monday, October 14, 2024. at 3:20 p.m.

The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2024. 30 minutes after the end of the 9th round.

Personal Data Protection (GDPR): By registering for the 3nd Open Hvar 2024 or 3nd Blitz Hvar 2024, players agree
to publish on the official website of the organizers and in the media personal data necessary for the competition
(name, age, chess rating and title, federation, membership in a club or team, etc.) as well as photos and games
from the tournament.
Recommendation for arrival in the town of Hvar:
The carrier (boatman) and schedule of ferry and Krilo Catamarans departures will be published later.

Located in a private bay, featuring an exquisite cascading pool and offering a wide range of activities suitable for
couples, families and business events.
Rates are as follows:
Double room with single use is 85,00 € per room per night
Double room for double use is 130,00 € per room per night
Above rates include full buffet breakfast, dinner and VAT. City tax of 1,35 € per person daily are to be charged
additionally in the hotel.

The organizer can only guarantee accommodation in the official hotel when reservation and payment has been
made on time. You will either recive the prepayment invoice or will provide a credit card that we will charge prior
to arrival.
TRANSFERS
If coming by Catamaran Line directly to Port of Hvar:
Our bell boy will be in the front of the catamaran (holding sing hotel Amfora) in Hvar port and he will take your
luggage which will be transferred to the hotel by van.
Hotel Amfora is located 10 minutes walking distance from the catamaran stop in Hvar port.
According to the regulation and following the historical monuments preservation and environmental standards,
motor vehicles are not allowed to enter Hvar’s old city center and therefore, no passenger transport is allowed.
