Thank you for purchasing the VATECH PaX-150-C, Film X-ray System.
In order to have an adequate reference for using the PaX-150C Series properly and safely, please read
this installation manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
This installation manual may not reflect changes in the operating modes of safety of this product.

PaX-150C is a precise electro-mechanical system. Therefore, please read it carefully
before operation. VATECH (VATECH Co., Ltd.) is not responsible for damages caused by
improper installation, insufficient maintenance procedures and improper operation.

1. Introductions
1.1 Specification
1.1.1. Model
● PaX-150 Panoramic only
● PaX-150C Panorama & Cephalo
CE symbol grants the product compliance to the European Directive for Medical
Devices 93/42 as a class IIB device. Authorized by Grand-Duche De Luxemburg.
1.2. Obligation
PaX-150C series is a Film Dental X-ray System, based on the latest technology with less radiation dose
and simple user interface for producing high quality images.
① Make sure that only the line voltage specified by the manufacturer is used only (110 /230V±10%,
50/60Hz).
② Confirm 3 ground connectors.
③ For safety reasons, make sure to turn off the main power switch of the system during installation.
④ Install and test the system as per the installation instructions.
⑤ Provide the user manual with the end-user.
● Mechanical issues
① Make sure that fingers, or other parts of the patient, or the operator are not pinched during the
movement of the unit.
● Explosion
① The system should not be used in presence of flammable gases or vapors.
● Radiation
① A trained and qualified personnel only are authorized to operate the system complying with
existing law for radiation protection.
② Make sure that the system is operated with careful observation.
● Environmental issue
① The system must be disposed of according to the existing laws in your country.

3. Installation
This chapter descries How to install PaX-150C series properly and safely in detail.
3. Installation
② Check the balances of the place where the system will be installed.
Check the balance of the floor where the system will be installed. The floor does
not need to be perfectly balanced, but it should not be too slanted as balance is
very important for the system.
① Take out the Column from the box and place it with the front side upwards on the Styrofoam
plates.
③ Install the Base stand to the Column and tighten the bolts: Insert 6 bolts [M6*35] through the Base
stand to the Column.
A minimum of two persons should hold the Column while screwing the wrench
bolt.

③ Lift up the Rotating Unit and then, match (hang) the holes to projections on the Vertical
carriage
A minimum of three persons should hold the Rotating Unit, and then match
holes of the Rotating Unit into projections of the Column.
④ Check whether the Rotating Unit is assembled firmly or not. If not, do match properly.
⑤ Fix The Rotating Unit to the Column with 6(upper 4, lower 2) bolts [8*15].
⑦ Fix Wire Plate with 2 bolts [M3*12] at sliding panel of the Rotating Unit into the Top of
Vertical Carriage.

To prevent from Vertical Carriage going up after taking out locker, you should
hold vertical carriage manually during removing and inserting locker as below
picture.

③ Assemble the Wall-bracket as in the picture below. Insert 2 bolts, 2 spring washers and 2 nuts.

How to exchange Fuse: Turn knob to left and then remove fuse. Exchange fuse and set up knob.

● Turn on the adjusting knob to the direction the arrow mark indicates on below picture.
There will be alarm in case that the adjusting knob is not fully turned left.
⑦ Select the depth of soft tissue and capture mode you want to capture by pressing below button
(AP Ù LL+1 Ù LL+2 Ù LL+3 Ù LL+4 Ù LL+5 Ù LL+6 Ù LL+7)
When you press each button the green light shall move as you pressed.
The depth of soft tissue on LL+2 is deeper than that of LL+1.
Keep pressing the button until the voice message informs finishing image capturing
process.
Warranty
Vatech hereby warrants free defects in this product and reliable quality within the warranty.
If any abnormality is found within the period of warranty, Vatech provides free charged repair service or
exchanges with a new one according to the kinds of cases.
Customer should pay for the cost of packing and transporting a defective part to VATECH’s service
center of the local agency, and the expenses should be paid in advance by customers.
This guarantee does not cover any malfunction or breakage which occurs due to misuse by the
customers. Vatech is not responsible for services in the cases listed below.
z Any breakage occurred during installation, repair, or manipulation by any one who is not
VATECH’s authorized personnel.
z Any breakage by negligence of the customer or by use with incompatible system.
z Any breakage or malfunctions caused by using other brand assemblies.
VATECH’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repair and replacement of products. With the
exception of factors stated in this warranty, this warranty shall not cover any direct, indirect, particular,
or accidental damages regardless of announcing possibility of critical results to customers in advance.
