ABSTRACT
The Automated Luggage Carrier (ALC) project aims to design and develop an autonomous
system capable of efficiently transporting luggage in various environments. The system
integrates mechanical, electrical, and software components to achieve autonomous
navigation, obstacle avoidance, and user-friendly operation. The project begins with
defining requirements and conceptualizing the design, followed by detailed design,
prototyping, and programming phases. Key components include motors, sensors (such as
ultrasonic and infrared), microcontroller, and power management systems. The software
implements algorithms for locomotion control, obstacle detection and avoidance, and
navigation utilizing GPS and inertial sensors. Throughout the development process,
emphasis is placed on safety, reliability, and user experience. The completed system
undergoes rigorous testing, integration, and fine-tuning to ensure seamless operation. Upon
deployment, the ALC promises to enhance convenience and efficiency in luggage
transportation, with potential applications in airports, hotels, and other travel-related
sectors.
