    At the Fair

    PROCEDURES
    How to Teach!
    STAGES Activities
    Warm-Up/ The teacher asks students questions like ‘’ Is there a fair in Denizli? Have you ever
    Beginning the been to a fair? Which fair ride do you like the most?’’. Then, the teacher opens a roller
    lesson coaster video(See Appendix 1) to get student’s attention. After watching the video,
    students decide whether they would try it or not. (5 minutes)

    Presentation/
    Noticing The teacher presents the fair rides and feelings with a PowerPoint presentation. S/he
    also wants students to repeat the words and sentences so that they learn correct
    pronunciations. (10 minutes)

    Practice/ The teacher opens the‘’ froggy jump’’ game(See Appendix 2). There are fair ride
    Structuring pictures and students must choose the correct one to carry the frog to the land. (5
    minutes)

    The teacher opens the second game, which is a spinning wheel game(See Appendix 3).
    The feelings in the sentences are missing and the students must complete them. (8
    minutes)
    Produce/
    Proceduralisation The teacher goes on with a speaking activity. S/he hands out speaking cards to the
    students(See Appendix 4). On the cards, there are tables with five lines and there are
    words that students can use. Students will move around the classroom, ask five different
    students what they feel about different fair rides, and complete their tables accordingly.
    Then, the teacher asks students to make a full sentence with the information on the
    table. (10 minutes)
    Review
    The teacher summarizes what they have done in the lesson and then asks students if
    they have any questions. (2 minutes)
