Today, we face the urgent task of addressing the disarmament challenges within the Israel-Palestine
conflict. It is a conflict that has caused a ridiculous amount of suffering and instability in the region.
Disarmament is not just a matter of decreasing weapon stocks, but it is more like a crucial step
towards accomplishing peace in the world.
Secondly, we must encourage nuclear non-proliferation in the Middle East. Creating a nuclear-free
zone in the region won’t only improve regional security but will also build trust among neighboring
states. Israel’s unclear nuclear capabilities pose a weighty challenge; hence, transparent dialogues
and confidence-building measures are essential.
Third, the demilitarization of the Gaza by reducing the military presence and dismantling militant
infrastructure, we can pave the way for economic development and humanitarian relief. This requires
robust international support and a commitment to sustainable peace initiatives.
Lastly, international arms control treaties must be reinforced to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
We urge all parties to adhere to existing agreements and participate in new frameworks that address
emerging threats, such as cyber warfare and advanced military technologies.
Delegates, the path to peace is through disarmament. Let us work together to build a future where
weapons of war are replaced with instruments of peace and diplomacy. Thank you.
Sudan acknowledges the long-standing conflict between Israel and Palestine, which has caused great
human suffering, loss of life, and instability in the region. It is extremely important for the
international community to reiterate its dedication to achieving enduring peace again.
Sudan recognizes the grievances and aspirations of both the Israeli and Palestinian peoples. It is
imperative for both parties to strive for a resolution that guarantees security, dignity, and self-
determination for all.
Sudan is calling on the international community to offer humanitarian aid to those impacted by the
conflict, ensuring that the assistance reaches those in need without any obstacles. The current
situation in Gaza requires immediate attention to address the humanitarian crisis. We support the
initiation of new diplomatic endeavors to facilitate direct negotiations between Israel and Palestine,
with the goal of achieving a two-state solution where both can peacefully coexist.
The Sudanese delegation concludes by stating the importance of a just and lasting solution to the
Israel-Palestine conflict, based on fairness and adherence to international law. We are convinced that
a harmonious future for the region can be attained through genuine discussions and collaboration.
