    AIPMT Results 2011, will be declared in the f irst week
    of June. All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance
    Examination, 2011 or AIPMT 2011 is conducted by the
    Central Board Of Secondary Education, Delhi (CBSE) f or
    admission to the 15% seats in all medical and dental
    colleges in India that are reserved f or all-India quota.
    Since 2010, these 15% seats are f urther reserved f or
    SC, ST, and OBC students. This year, AIPMT Prelims
    2011 will be conducted on April 3, 2011 while AIPMT
    Mains will be conducted on May 15, 2011.

    AIPMT Final Examination.

    Results of AIPMT 2011 Mains will be declared by the


    f irst week of June, 2011.

    There is only one AIPMT Merit List. There is NO


    separate result list f or SC/ST candidates.

    AIPMT Merit List and Waiting List

    AIPMT Merit List is prepared on the basis of the scores a


    student gets f irst in the Preliminary Examination and then
    in the Final Examination. The number of students in the
    Merit List equals the number of seats available f or MBBS
    and BDS courses under 15% All-India Quota. AIPMT
    Waiting List again contains same number of students as
    in the merit list.

    If the scores of two candidates are same in AIPMT


    Mains, the order of pref erence is as f ollows:

    Candidate with higher marks in Biology (Botany &


    Zoology) gets selected. If these scores are also
    same, then
    Candidate with higher marks in Chemistry gets
    selected. If these scores are also same, then

    Candidate who is older in age gets selected. If the
    age of the candidates is also same, then

    Candidate with higher marks in Preliminary


    Examination gets selected.
    Since there are about 1900 MBBS and 250 BDS seats
    are available through AIPMT 2011, students with AIPMT
    rank up to 3200 can hope to get a seat, f or many
    candidates appear in multiple medical entrance exams.
