Principal’s Message, Continued…
To ensure a successful start to the new school year, there are a number of important things students
should do.
• Read this newsletter and accompanying information carefully,
• Pay attention to the orientation information provided in your classes during the first week,
• Use our school APP or other electronic or paper methods to keep yourself organized,
• Be on time and ready to learn in all classes,
• Become involved and connected in the school through a club, team and/or extra-curricular
activity,
• Ask questions!

Our first PAC meeting will be on Tuesday September 12 at 5:00pm in our school library. PAC
meetings are a great way for parents to stay connected to the school and learn about all the amazing
things going on in the school.

We are thrilled to welcome the class of 2028, our new grade 8 Lions! I hope you are all excited with
the move to secondary school and are looking forward to exploring the new opportunities that you will
have at Princess Margaret. We have many great activities scheduled over the month of September for
our new Lions to help make the transition to PM as smooth as possible. It makes for a busy, but
exciting start to the new school year.

A special “Welcome Back” is reserved for our graduating class, The Class of 2024. As the graduating
class you have a special and important role to play in the life of our school. You can and should
provide both leadership and a sense of purpose to the student body. Make this year the most
productive experience both for yourselves as individuals and for our school. As individuals, you have
tremendous potential. Continue to work for your future and leave a positive legacy through your
actions.

I encourage all students to take advantage of the first-class opportunities available to you at Princess
Margaret and to participate 100% in all aspects of your school experience. We have a large number of
clubs, a comprehensive athletics program and many other amazing opportunities that come up
during each year. Get involved and enjoy everything that Princess Margaret has to offer.

Our school website, www.surreyschools.ca/pmarga as well as our APP will provide up to date
information regarding upcoming special events and activities. Please continue to update the school if
you have any contact information changes including e-mail, phone numbers or home address so we
can keep open lines of communication between school and home.

Enjoy the last days of summer! We look forward to welcoming all students and families back to
Princess Margaret and wish you much success in the upcoming year.
