PILIPINAS GOT TALENT: VERONICA TE “DECLAMATION”

1. Facial Expressions: the facial expressions were one of the reason why her
performance was pleasant to watch. She was very giggly and match the facial
expressions on what her performance was all about. Clearly, she is the darling of the
crowd.
Eye Contact: she was not scared, and she was not tensed. Why? See her eyes and
how she made contact with the audience. Her eyes were alluring you to watch her
performance further. It was a good factor that all throughout her performance, she
was communicating through her mouth, hands and especially her eyes.
Poise and physical appearance of the speaker: she knows how to stand in front of
hundreds of people that was watching her. She did not exhibit awkwardness and
raised her chin to show dominance and confidence. She was an average type of
appearance but her confidence made her stand out and gave her an aura that a lot
of people do not have.
Platform Behavior: she exudes confidence. She did important moves which was not
annoying but instead it was entertaining.this is a good point because too much
movement would make your performance messy. She was also expressive and
wanted her audience to be with her in a way that her movements were engaging.
Blockings: she did a lot of blockings and honestly it suit to her performance. She did
the usual blockings for every speeches but her blockings was different because no
signs of awkwardness was seen and noticed.
Gestures: she used her hands to convey emphasis and to give signals that her voice
was going to be at high or low pitches.
Voice quality: She used her voice properly that her words was very listenable and
clear to the audience. She was not strained nor too soft. Her voice was made for that
kind of performance.
Vocal Climax: The first, middle and last part was all her vocal climax. She knows
when tone her voice in soft and hard way and it was also the time that the audience
was very into her performance.
Vocal Variety: you could tell that she knows when to put her low and high pitches.
Her tone was varied and it emphasized her different speech in her declamation. She
knows how to adjust her voice like when to whisper to show intimacy and to raise
her voice for emphasis and excitement.
Pronunciation: She delivered her speech in an informal manner yet it was still very
clear. You would hear the change of tone like how she deliver some words in silly
way. You could tell that she’s a Filipino just based from her pronunciation.
Articulation: The voice change was noticeable like how her pitch would go low or
high in between and she emphasized the vowels and consonants clearly. She
articulated her emotional words with proper inflection that the audience did not
have a choice but to listen further.
audience: her piece made them laugh and energized them. You could hear the
constant laughs and praises from the audience and you could tell that they were
enjoying her performance.
Thought Phrases: “this is the day that the lord has made I’m going to be the next
superstar. Why? Im sexy, im everything you’re not”
Timing to make audience laugh: She knows when to peak. I mean, she knows when
to give giggly expressions that will make the audience laugh. She knows when to
make her voice sound entertaining and it was good.
What is her Story?: she auditioned on pilipinas got talent season 3 and made to the
next round.

2. Facial Expressions: his facial expressions were calm and peaceful when he started his
public speaking, but it gradually become delightful and entertainment once he
started his jokes and stuffs.
Eye Contact: He was communicating through his eyes. He made eye contacts to his
audience whenever he has phrases to emphasize to the audience. He is making sure
that the audience would pick it up clearly and undertood it well.
Poise and physical appearance of the speaker: He knows how to present himself to
the audience. He did not look awkward, instead he stood there with confidence and
his looks added to his overwhelming aura that the audience find it amusing.
Platform Behavior: he exudes calmness and joy. he did go to different direction to
pinpoint his words and he was not messy to look at.
Blocking: he did a lot of blocking yes, but it did not affect his overall speech because
he was engaging and you could not notice it first when you watch him. He is very
swift to change his blocking which I find it amazing. .
Gestures: he used her hands to emphasize his thoughts. You will notice different
gestures like turning his hands clockwise to emphasize phrases, he would put his
hands on himself like informing exaggeration etc.
Voice quality: his voice was like of a teacher and he is a teacher that’s why. His voice
was not blurry and he did not stutter even once which is great to the audience to
understand his speech better.
Vocal Climax: The middle and last part was all his vocal climax. Lets emphasize the
last part. His voice could be said to show exaggeration because it was loud but not
loud enough to be annoying on our ears.
Vocal Variety: By varying his voice, he created a dynamic and appealing experience
that keeps listeners engaged from start to finish.
Pronunciation: he knows how to say words that the audience will understand. You
can tell that he was adjusting to make his speech understandable to the audience.
He knows how to pronounce words and their proper diction.
Articulation: he did proper articulation and it enhances his communication and
he ensures that the message is delivered with clarity and understanding.
audience: They are very into his performance because the audience were engaging
to his speech and you can clearly hear their laughs and giggles
Thought Phrases: “but mothers cry three types of tears. Tears of joy, tears of
sorrow, and tears of shame”
Timing to make audience laugh: The thing about the speaker is, he is very relatable.
He relates himself to the crowd and knows their giggle spot and that is why the
audience is laughing in the background.
What is his Story?: he was the 2014 world champion of public speaking. At 17 years
old, Dananjaya had already flunked high school and faced legal trouble.
Despite not fearing the police, he was terrified of his emotional mother. Her
tearful expression when she visited him in jail left a lasting impact.
