Silent Diesel Generator Sets under Buy Back of existing Generator Sets

Sealed quotations are invited from manufacturer/authorized dealer/reputed

supplier for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 3 Nos. 250 KVA, 100
KVA and 40 KVA Silent Diesel Generator Sets of reputed make [CUMMINS /
HITACHI / KOHLER / MITSUBUSHI OR ANY REPUTED MARKS] under Buy Back
of existing 140 KVA, 60 KVA and 27 KVA DG Sets at following locations:

(a) 250 KVA Silent DG Set under buy-back of existing 140 KVA DG Set at
Embassy of India, 545-547 Merchant Street, Yangon;
(b) 140 KVA Silent DG Set under buy-back of existing 60 KVA DG Set at
Budd Road Residential Complex, Yangon; &
(c) 40 KVA Silent DG Set under buy-back of existing 27 KVA DG Set at India
House, 35 Thantaman Road, Yangon

2. The firm must have maintenance and servicing facilities of generator set in
Yangon. The representative of firms/suppliers should visit the sites with prior
appointment before submission of quotation (Tel: 391219 / 338412). Interested
suppliers/vendors may please contact Embassy by e-mail ([email protected]
/ [email protected] ) gor any further clarification.

3. A brief terms & conditions, scope of work, schedule of quantities and proforma
for submission of quotations are enclosed. The supplier shall sign on every page of
documents and submit the sealed envelope to Head of Chancery, Embassy of India,
545-547 Merchant Street, Yangon Embassy of India, Yangon. The last date of
submission of sealed quotation is 23 MAY 2018 by 1700 hrs. Separate quotation
has to be submitted for separate DG Set.

4. Embassy reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the quotations, or
part thereof, without assigning any reason.

works specified in document hereinafter set out and having visited and examined the
site of the works specified in the said document having acquired the requisite

A. SCOPE OF WORK

1. The scope of work of the bidder in brief is enumerated below:

(a) Supplying, installation, testing and commissioning of DG Set (40

KVA) complete with acoustic enclosure, circuit breaker, 24V battery
pack, base fuel tank, display screen with analogical values and AMF
panel.

(b) Supply, installation and testing of Changeover and other electrical

fittings, cables etc. required for the installation of DG Sets

(c) Arrangement of equipment, tool and tackles and scaffolding material for
installation of the equipment at site at the cost of bidder.

(d) Submission of guarantee certificate and test certificates of the

manufacturer.

(e) Installation of exhaust pipes with suitable insulation up to the required

level of the building as required by the concerned statutory authorities.

(h) Cleaning and removal of all unused / wastage material from the site
immediately after handing over the equipment.

2. The existing 27 KVA DG set has to be dismantled and taken away by

offering a buy back for value for the same.

3. The firm shall, at their own expense, arrange for safety provisions as per
safety codes and Rules, Regulations and Laws as may be applicable, in respect of
all labour, directly or indirectly employed in the work.

B. DOCUMENTATION

2 set of following documents shall be provided by the manufacturer / supplier

with the following:-

- O& M Manual of Diesel Engine

- Spare parts list of diesel engine
- Test Certificate of diesel engine
- Test certificate of Alternator
- Test Certificate of D.G. Set
 C. PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

1. 50% of total amount after dispatch of DG Set from the premises of the
manufacturer/seller.

2. 50% after successful testing and successful commissioning the DG set.

3. Payment will be made in US Dollar by bank transfer only. Successful bidder

shall provide Bank Details along with the bills.
