Reading Status of A PD Breaker
Reading Status of A PD Breaker
Reading Status of A PD Breaker
The primary, secondary, and cause of status are read using two registers: 6145 and 6146. It
is easiest if you read these as hex values, otherwise you can use a converter to go from
decimal to hex (the Windows calculator will also do this).
Once you have the value from register 6145 in hex, make sure it is 4 digits (put 0's at the
beginning if needed). The first 2 digits are the primary status, and the second 2 digits are
the secondary status. Register 6146 is the cause of status. These are defined in the
Modbus register map section of the manual (MCCBs section 11.3.8.2, ICCBs (PD-NF/PD-RF)
section A.3.10, ACBs (Magnum PXR/PD-SB) section 9.3.1). Excerpts are included on the
following pages (page 2 for ACBs, page 3 for ICCBs, and pages 4-5 for MCCBs).
In the below example, register 6145 has a value of 519 (decimal). This is equal to 0207 in
hex. Register 6146 has a value of 1.
If register 6145 has a value of 263 decimal (0107 hex), this means the breaker is open and
powered up.
