SWITCH-ON THRESHOLD
WITH SCHUKO® SOCKET ENERGY

The following video shows how to set a switch-on threshold for the JUNG HOME
SCHUKO® socket Energy using the TV socket application example.

13
What is meant by switch-on threshold?
The switch-on threshold can be set as an individual automation for the JUNG HOME
device. The loads of the JUNG HOME devices selected in the app are switched on when
the set power value is exceeded for the set period of time. This automatic can be used
as a master-slave function: If a JUNG HOME device detects that a connected consumer is
switched on, a second wirelessly connected JUNG HOME device can be switched on
automatically.

14
Switch-on thresholds with the JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy (… French/Belgian
system):

With the switch-on threshold of the JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy and the JUNG
HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy (French/Belgian system), additional JUNG HOME
actuators can be switched on if a configurable power value is exceeded for a
configurable period of time. One switch-on and switch-off threshold can be configured
for each JUNG HOME Energy socket.

Video description:

1. Open the JUNG HOME app.

2. Tap on the “socket” icon in the function list at the top of the home screen.

must be exceeded in order to trigger the new automation.
8. Tap on “Next” to confirm your entries.

15
9. Under “+ Select device” you can select the device(s), in this case “Sideboard lighting”,
that should be switched on after the threshold is reached (note: multiple devices can
also be selected).
10. Confirm with “Apply selection” and “Save” your entries.

The automation for “TV socket” when the 15W switch-on threshold is exceeded for 5
seconds is now set. The sideboard lighting turns on 5 seconds after the TV is switched on.

15
SWITCH-OFF THRESHOLD
WITH SCHUKO® SOCKET ENERGY

The following video shows how to set a switch-off threshold for the SCHUKO® socket
Energy using the TV socket application example.

16
What is meant by switch-off threshold?

A switch-off threshold can be set to trigger an individual automation for one or multiple
other JUNG HOME device. This enables other JUNG HOME devices to be switched off
automatically when the power consumption falls below a predefined value for a
configurable period of time.
The “switch-off threshold” parameter of the JUNG HOME device can be used as a power
save function. If the JUNG HOME device detects that a connected consumer is in
standby mode, the device can be automatically switched off completely.
This avoids unnecessary standby consumption. The switch-off threshold can be set
according to requirements and the desired energy-saving habit.
Overall, the switch-off threshold function offers a practical way of controlling energy
consumption without having to sacrifice the ease of use of the connected devices.

17
Switch-off thresholds for a JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy (... French/Belgian
system):

With the switch-off threshold of the JUNG HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy and the JUNG
HOME SCHUKO® socket Energy (French/Belgian system), other JUNG HOME actuators
can be switched off automatically if the power consumption falls below a predefined
value for a configurable period of time. One switch-on and switch-off threshold can be
configured for each socket.

Video description:

1. Open the JUNG HOME app.

GERÄTE
VOICE CONTROL
KOPPELN
WITH AMAZON ALEXA

The following video shows how a JUNG HOME Gateway is connected to a voice service,
using Amazon Alexa as an example.

43
JUNG HOME Gateway voice control with Amazon Alexa:

With the JUNG HOME Gateway, the JUNG HOME system can be used in combination
with various IoT platforms. This allows the individual devices to be operated by voice
and remotely.
It is also possible to use the JUNG HOME devices to control cross-system scenes or
individual devices from third-party providers.
This opens up a wide range of possibilities for operating the networked devices and
solutions directly via JUNG HOME.
The prerequisite for the connection of the voice service is the successfully connected
JUNG HOME Gateway in the JUNG HOME app.
The prerequisite for this is a MyJUNG account which may have to be created
beforehand.
If you want to search for new JUNG HOME devices at a later point, start the update by
voice control by saying “Alexa, update my devices” or “Alexa, search for new devices”.

Video description:

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app and click on the “+ More” icon at the bottom right.
2. Select the category “Skills and Games”.
3. Use the search box at the top to search for the JUNG HOME skill.

44
4. Select the JUNG HOME skill found and tap on “Enable to use”.
5. Amazon Alexa requires access to your myJUNG account to fully activate the skill.
Enter the email address and password for your myJUNG account and confirm with
“Continue”.
6. In the next step, you need to select the JUNG HOME Gateway and grant authorization
for access by tapping “Authorize” below.
The account link is created and the JUNG HOME Skill is connected to Amazon Alexa.
Go on with “Next” below, to search for all JUNG HOME devices that can be
connected.
7. The number of devices found is displayed. Choose “Next” to assign them to the Alexa
account.
8. Now select and set up the devices one after the other (e.g. here: Ceiling light living
room).
9. In the next step you are asked to add your device to a group so you can control
devices together.
Select the device and add it to the group (here: living room) with “Add to group”.
Confirm the message about the successful addition with “Continue”.
10. At this point you can optionally choose/edit routines that have already been created
or create new ones (here: option is skipped).
The device is now set up and ready to use.
11. Set up all devices one after the other.
12. All set-up devices can now be controlled via voice command or via the Alexa app
(here: “Corridor lighting”, “TV socket” and “Room thermostat living room”, for
example).

44
PROJECT SYNCHRONISATION

The following video shows how to synchronise a project with another user.

45
Project synchronisation:

Project synchronization allows up to 10 users to access the same project in the JUNG
HOME app, to control the JUNG HOME devices and edit the configuration.
A QR code is created and can be scanned with other mobile devices to add them as
additional users.
Due to project synchronisation, adding devices, changing operating concepts and
creating scenes is only possible with a working internet connection.
Without an internet connection, JUNG HOME devices can still be operated and
configured via the JUNG HOME app.

Video description:

1. Open the JUNG HOME app.

2. Select "Settings" on the bottom right of the home screen.
3. Under “Settings” select your “My JUNG HOME project”.
4. Select “Project synchronisation” and then tap on “Synchronise project”.
The QR code of the project is generated.
5. The active devices or users are displayed below the QR code. Of course, you must
first install the JUNG HOME app on the other user's mobile device.
6. Open the JUNG HOME app on other user's mobile device and select “Start

46
immediately”.
7. Select “Import Project”.
8. Under “Project synchronisation”, confirm the import of the project with “Scan”.
9. Now place the QR code within the blue frame and scan it.
10. Participation of the new user is now requested and must be confirmed with “Accept”
on the original user’s mobile device.
11. The project is now imported onto the new user's mobile device and he is added as an
additional user (here: “MAR-LX1A”).
12. The successful import is displayed on the new user's mobile device with a blue screen
and a checkmark. Now you can use both mobile devices to control/configure your
JUNG HOME system.
13. Changes, e.g. renaming of devices (here: “TV socket” to “Reading light in living
room”), are synchronised on both mobile devices.
14. If “Project synchronisation” is active, changes to the project without an internet
connection are only possible to a limited extent (here: adding a new scene).
This is indicated by a red icon and the message “No synchronisation possbile”. The
message must be confirmed with “OK”.
Connect to the Internet to make the desired changes.
