    ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
    INSET Speakership
    Topic: Learners with Difficulty in Remembering/Concentrating
    January 29, 2024

    According to the International Journal of Learning and Teaching, In-service training


    program helps teachers to acquire new understanding and instructional skills to develop their
    effectiveness in the classroom. On January 29, 2024, I was given the opportunity to be one of
    the resource speakers in the In-service training. I was tasked to re-echo what I have learned
    from the three-day seminar last December 2023. The training session started with various
    activities such as “tell me the color”, “remember me” and “think of me”. The participants
    were very active and they really showed enthusiasm in completing the activities. They were
    divided into groups and they were given a screening device to assess certain students in their
    class.

    Each group presented their findings, and a thorough discussion followed. The session
    ended with the participants developing an accommodation plan based on the results of the
    screening device.

    Annotation:
    Attending training on inclusive education professionally impacts educators
    by equipping them with strategies and tools to create inclusive learning
    environments. It enhances their ability to accommodate diverse student needs,
    promote equity in education, and improve teaching practices to better support all
    learners. This training fosters a more inclusive mindset and enhances professional
    competence in addressing the diverse needs of students effectively.
