General Instructions to Candidates for Taking the Test

1. How to start the MAT IBT,

a.Download the secure browser from the weblink:https://mat.aimaexam.in/candidate/login

b.Email id / Application number will be your user name and password will be your date of birth (DDMMYY

format)

c.Ensure that you have taken a printout of admit card.

d. Ensure that you have Licensed & Updated Version of Windows OS (Version 10 and above).

e. Please note that test will NOT run on Apple MAC OS

f. Please note that, there will be no rescheduling under any circumstances. If the candidate fails to appear in

the test and wishes to re-appear, then he / she has to re-register or upgrade to additional test (as applicable)

from their MAT registration dashboard.

g. It is also mandatory to take mock test from the link given below to get familiar with the test process:

h. On the day of test, after successful log-in, candidate has to wait patiently in queue for his / her turn for

verification and the candidate must be ready with hard copy of admit card and original photo id proof (digital

id proof will not be valid).

i. Please note that after successful verification, candidate has to wait in the waiting area till the test start

time.

j. If candidate log-out after successful verification, candidate will not be able to log-in again under any

circumstances for which the candidate will be responsible.

2. Open this link https://mat.aimaexam.in/candidate/login on your desktop/laptop to start the test.

3. You are requested to download and install secure browserat least one day prior to the test date. (In case of any technical

issue the candidates can reach out to Help Desk Number 85279 44141, 85275 52444

4. You will be continuously monitored through the mic and webcam (audio-video) during the test session both by the human

proctor and the AI-based software, and the test proceedings will be recorded for analysis later if deemed necessary. Your

computer screen too will be similarly monitored and recorded.


5. You have to follow the instructions given by the Secure Browser.

6. Upon being requested you need to formally give your consent to the proctor to monitor your computer screen and also lock-

up or terminate / close a few files for the test duration.

7. You have to follow the instructions of the proctor conveyed through the chat box, such as to show a 360-degree view of the

test room, etc. as and when instructed.

8. The test is of 150 minutes' duration.

9. The questions on your computer screen will appear in English only.

10. The test consists of total 200 questions; with 40 questions each under five sections viz., Language Comprehension,

Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, and Indian & Global Environment.

11. Every question is followed by 4 answer options. Choose the option that is most appropriate and indicate your answer by

clicking on the circle/box adjacent to that option.

12. You can go to any question / section directly by clicking on the question number.

13. If you are doubtful of the answer, you can mark a question for "Review", this can be removed manually by clicking on it

once you come back to the same question at a later time. The questions left under "Review" marke at the time of

submission will still be considered during the eveluation.

14. You can move between sections at your will.

15. If you want to change your answer to any question, you may select the question and change the answer by clicking on the

appropriate answer.

16. There will be 25% negative marking for each wrong answer.

17. If you have any observation(s) regarding any of the questions; you may convey the same to the proctor through the chat

box and proceed with the test to the best of your understanding. You may rest assured that your observation will be taken

note of and reviewed to ensure that candidates interest is not adversely affected.

18. Timer display at the top of the screen indicates the time remaining for you throughout the test. The test closes

automatically once the allotted time of 150 Minutes is over.

19. In case you finish your test before the allotted time, you will get a confirmation page which will give you two options - either

to go back to the test or to finish/submit the test. In case you want to review the answers in the remaining time you can do

so; else, you may finish the test and proceed to submit.

20. Once you submit, you cannot go back to the test.

THOROUGHLY READ THE FOLLOWING DOs and DON'Ts FOR CANDIDATES:

a. Ensure to have a stable internet connection for uninterrupted test experience.

b. On the registration page, you shall be required to enter correct login details to start the test. In case if you are not entering

login details in correct format you shall get a notification Enter details are not authorized for this test".

c. You must keep a valid original Photo ID, such as (i) Voter ID Card, (ii) PAN Card, (iii) Driving License, (iv) Aadhaar Card, (v)

Passport or (vi) College ID Card, handy before start of the test along with hard copy of admit card.

d. You must keep your drinking water (in transparent bottle only), pen/pencil and white blank paper for rough work, ready

before start of the test.

e. Ensure that items such as Mobile Phone, Electronic Gadgets, Smart/Digital Watch, Calculator, Bag, Handbag, Notes, Books,

Food & Beverage items, etc. are not kept with you in the test room.
f. Any candidate found using or to be in possession of such unauthorized material or indulging in copying or adopting unfair

means is liable to be summarily disqualified.

g. For the authorization process you have to follow the steps below:

i. First you have to capture your own (Face) snapshot. Ensure that the snapshot must be clearly visible.

ii. Secondly you have to capture the snapshot of your original Photo ID card in such a way that the name and the photo on

the id card should be clearly visible.

iii. After submitting your own (Face) snapshot and your Photo ID card, the AI based verification will attempt the fase

matching and allow you to move forward. In case, if face verification failure the details will be sent to the proctor for

approval. The proctor will authorize you to start the test if satified with the snapshot. In case proctor does not allow you,

you need to ensure that the snapshot captured is clear and you have an alternate valid Photo ID card to resubmit.

iv. We request you to be patient and cooperative as this is an extremely important process. Authorization time is not part of

exam time so even if it takes time, you will not lose time on the test. Test timer will only start once you are authorized.

h. As soon as the proctor authorizes you, your assessment will start and timer will begin:

i. Once the test is started, toggling between the windows is not allowed for any reason.

ii. You are not allowed to use mobile phones, calculators or other devices during the test.
iii. You are not allowed to move away from your seat during the test except for brief toilet breaks, say, for 2-3 minutes; with

prior permission of the proctor. Absence beyond the permitted time could lead to cancellation of your test. You will be

permitted not more than 2-3 toilet breaks during the entire test.

iv. You will not be provided with any extra timing for the toilet breaks, it will be part of the aggregate time provided for the

test.

v. Please ensure that you are not running any remote access software before or during the test.

vi. You are not allowed to connect any extended screen/projector along with the system being used during the test.

vii. No one should be in the room during the test, if found so candidate will be liable to be summarily disqualified.

viii. There should be sufficient light in the room you choose to take the test from.

ix. You are not allowed to lip sync or read the questions aloud.
x. Usage of any reference material in any form would lead to disqualification from the examination.

xi. Please ensure that you are the only person in the room during the test and there is no movement or disturbance. At any

point of time during the test, you can be asked by the proctor through Chat, to turn your Laptop/Webcam for a 360 degree

check to see your surroundings.

xii. If you have any observation(s) regarding any question; communicate the same to the proctor vide the chat box and

proceed with the test to the best of your understanding. Your observation(s) will be taken note of and reviewed later and

ensured that no injustice is done to candidates during evaluation of answers.

xiii. Any attempt at malpractice will lead to cancellation of your test and disqualification of your candidature.

xiv.Any application, documents running in the background will be authomatically closed, ensure you save

your documents before launching the test.

i. Discrepancies, if any, regarding your particulars in this admit card can be e-mailed to
