    Renewal/Reactivation of Private Pilot Licence

    a) Requirements:-
    Before expiry date of licence b) Supportive documents to be submitted:
    1. Medical Fitness (Class I or Class II) 1. If security Clearance is lapsed, Submit Personnel Particulars
    2. Security Clearance form No. CAA/PL/M/13 to obtain Security Clearance
    3. At least 05 flying hours during the last 06 months 2. Duly completed Application for Medical Examination
    As PIC not less than five take offs and landing (CAA/PL/E/01)
    3. Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC VII) 3. Log Book certified by flying school together with copies
     For more details refer IS 071 para 4 & 5 indicating total and recent flying experience
    4. ELPC validity. 4. Skill test report and observer’s report.

    If the date of Renewal is lapsed c) Procedure:-


    Not less than 05 years
    1. Register with the computerized Licensing System through
    1. Medical Fitness (Class I or Class II)

    2. Security Clearance
    2. Create the user profile (if user profile has not been created)
    3. HPL Examination (if not sat before), ELPC test
    and add the PPL Renewal application form.
    4. Pass Aircraft Rating Flight Test

    More than 10 years 8. Check the status of the application through your profile in

    10. The requirements for Renewal of Private Pilot Licences


    have been published in Implementing Standard 071 which
    you can download from the website.

    Please note if you have not gained recent experience and or


    competency in flying during the period of validity of licence, you
    may renew the licence for training purposes

    d) Relevant Fees:-

    1. If licence lapsed
    i. –Application Evaluation fee Rs. 7,040.30
    Licence Renewal fee Rs. 1,910.65

    2. If licence not lapsed


    ii - Application Evaluation fee Rs. 3,520.15
    Licence Renewal fee Rs. 1,910.65

    3. Class I Medical Examination fee Rs. 3,883.80


    4. Flight Test Examiners Fee Rs. 8,214.00
