    SUBJECT: NOSE WHEEL STEERING

    To all Customers and Operators: Date: Aug 25/07

    This Service Letter is issued to draw attention to the following information:

    Nose Wheel Steering Bearing Fork - Product Improvement

    An improved bearing fork (532.50.12.044 Issue F) is now available as the replacement for bearing forks
    (532.50.12.044 Issue: Initial thru D). The replacement bearing fork is stronger than the earlier version and has
    a hexagonal center shaft. The earlier bearing fork (532.50.12.044 Issue: Initial thru D) has a circular center
    shaft and is therefore easily identified.

    In addition to the above, stronger attachment bolts (932.35.17.178) and (932.35.17.160) are also available as
    replacements for the initially installed bolts (932.19.60.472) and (932.19.60.469).

    If not already accomplished, PILATUS recommends the following replacements:

    1. Replace bearing fork (532.50.12.044 Issue: Initial thru D) with bearing fork (532.50.12.044
    Issue F). This replacement does not apply to bearing fork (532.50.12.044 Issue E) because this
    bearing fork satisfies the prerequisites of bearing fork (532.50.12.044 Issue F).

    2. Replace attachment bolts (932.19.60.472) and (932.19.60.469) with attachment bolts


    (932.35.17.178) and (932.35.17.160). This replacement applies to the attachment bolts of bearing
    forks (532.50.12.044 Issue: Initial thru F).
