 Section D has 4 questions carrying 05 marks each.
 Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with subparts of the values of 1, 1 and 2
marks each respectively.

Q27. X, and y are centres of circles of radius 9cm and 2cm and XY = 17cm Z is the centre of a circle
of radius ‘r’cm, which touches the above circles externally and XYZ = 900. Write an equation
interms of ‘r’ and solve it for ‘r’.

The probability of selecting a blue marble at random from a jar that contains only blue, back and
Green marbles is 1/5. The probability of selecting a black marble at random from the same jar is ¼.
If the jar contains 11 green marbles, find the total number of marbles in the jar.
Q29. Find the zeroes of the following polynomials by factorisation method and verify the relations

Q34. In a flight of 600 km, an aircraft was slowed due to bad weather. Its average speed for the trip was reduced
by 200 km/hr and the time of flight increased by 30 minutes. Find the original duration of the flight.
Q35. An ice-cream cone full of ice-cream having radius 5 cm and height 10cm as shown in figure. Calculate the
Volume of ice-cream, provided that its 1/6 part is left unfilled with ice-cream.

A rocket is in the form of a right circular cylinder closed at the lower end and surmounted by a cone with
the same radius as that of the cylinder. The diameter and height of the cylinder are 6cm and 12 cm, respectively.
If the slant height of the conical portion is 5 cm, then find the total surface area of the rocket, (use  = 3.14)

Section E consists of 3 questions of 4 marks each.
Q36. POLLUTION-A MAJOR PROBLEM: One of the major problem that the world is facing today is the
environmental pollution. Common types of pollution include light, noise, water and air pollution.

In a school, students thoughts of planting trees in and around the school to reduce pollution. It was decided that
the number of trees that each section of each classes will plant be the double of the class in which they are
studying, e.g. a section of class I will plant 2 trees, a section of class II will plant 4 trees and so on a section of
class XII will plant 24 trees.
(a) If there are two sections of each class, how many trees will be planted by class VII students.
(b) Find the AP formed, if there are three sections of each class.
(c) Find the total number of plants planted by students, if each class is having only one section.

Q37. A school trip was organised to a bird sanctuary, a boy observed the following situation.

A bird is sitting on the top of a tree, which is 80m high. The angle of elevation of the bird, from a point on

Q38. Football is the most popular game in the world. It combines strength, speed and skills. Football is the most-
watched and most played sport on the earth.in Canada and America, it is called Soccer. Football was invented in
China nearly 476 BC. It is a 90 minutes long game and those 90 minutes are distributed in two 45 minutes halves.

Rahul and Ramesh is shown in the diagram.
