    Title-A helping hand

    Scene 1:

    Narrator: “Mrs. Zhao was a young lady in the village of China. She was poor but never grumbled. Her
    husband worked very far away so she lived alone with her kids.

    Messenger: Morning Mrs. Zhao, Hope you are during well. I have brought a letter from Mr. Zhao.

    Mrs. Zhao: Thank You (She opens the letter and starts reading it) I will be coming back home soon
    and I will be bringing double salary for my hard work. Why, this is great news. As the ration in the
    house is over.I’m so happy

    Mr. Zhao:It feels so great to be coming back home Oh no Mrs. Lee Why is you sitting here and
    sobbing so bitterly, my oh my! Is everything Okay??

    Mrs. Lee : O Mr. Zhao I have no money ,I have nothing to feed my kids, I can’t even pay for my rent
    I am ashamed as a mother. Mr. Zhao my husband works in the same office as you. Do you have any
    news about him?

    Kid 1 – Mum, Please give me some food.. I’m really hungry

    Kid 2 – Yes , mum I’m starving. I’m totally famished. There must be something in the house!

    Kid 1 – I agree

    Mr. Zhao: Hmm, Unfortunately No but I must inform you that he sent his salary with me.I shall give it
    to you. I’m sure that’s great news for you. And here, take there fruits. Your kids will love them.Here
    you go , Mr.Lees Salary

    Mrs. Lee: Thank you so much Mr. Zhao I express my gratitude for helping this helpless mother.

    Narrator: that was not Mr. Lee’s salary , but Mr. Zhao’s. He had helped the woman.

    Scene 2 :
    Mrs. Zhao :Mr.Zhao , you are finally back home.

    Mr Zhao : Why are you looking so pale my dear? You make me worry. Are you okay?

    Mrs Zhao : There is nothing left at home , but I am relieved that you are back with your salary.

    Narrator : Mr. Zhao told her everything

    Scene 3 :

    Narrator : the next day he went to his neighbor Mrs. Yang’s field.Her son Tao, saw Mr. Zhao crying
    and decided to help. He hid behind a banyan tree.

    Tao: You may take as many as fruits you want. I allow you so as the great spirit .

    Mr. Zhao: Thank you great spirit, I appreciate you.May god bless you and give you a very happy
    ending! And may no woodcutter cut you .( Small chuckle)

    Narrator: Tao then decides to further reach out to Mr. Zhao by giving him some more fruits.

    Scene 4 :

    Narrator : Mrs. Lee is with her kids . Mr. Lee returned home.

    Mrs Lee : Thank you so much for everything .

    Mr Lee : What do you mean ??\

    Mrs.Lee- So actually- …, ( They both act out talking )

    Mr Lee : No! My salary is with me , I Didn’t give anything to Mr. Zhao

    Mr. Zhao : I am sorry friend ,that was my salary but I could not see your family in that situation.I
    know I shouldn’t talk in your family matter. I just thought….

    Kid 2 – Thank you so Much Mr.Zhao!

    Kid 1 – You’re the best !

    Kid 2 and Kid 1 together – You’re our hero!

    Mr. Lee : I can’t thank you enough , Please take my salary and I would like to thank you for reaching
    out to my family in difficult times.

    Narrator : Mr.Zhao smiled happily ,because he decided to lend a helping hand and it had only come
    back to save him. So always remember to reach out to people in need, even in the smallest way
    possible. As they say[ points to stage]

    All; What goes around always comes around.Thank you
