Introduction
According to an article by Pitco (2019), potato fries are thought to have started in Namur,
a French-speaking city in Belgium, at the end of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century. As we
can see, potato fries are still popular today; therefore, one of our group members recommended
that we manufacture fries that are both distinctive and unknown, as well as inexpensive and
healthful. Since our target customers are the students of Bukidnon National High School, we
should create a new product that is appealing to their taste. We undertake research to see whether
chayote squash fries are feasible. Chayote is a suitable alternative for potato, allowing you to retain
a familiar sense of familiarity in the dish. Then, we chose to choose the chayote squash fries from
among all the goods that we offered in our group since, in addition to being inexpensive, they are
also beneficial to your health because they provide substantial protection against a wide range of
ailments. According to the study of Lira, Rafael & Heller, J & Engels, Johannes. (1996), chayote
originated in Central America, including Costa Rica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and
Guatemala. In addition, we noticed that there is no record of Chayote Fries being a popular snack
in our local market, particularly in our area, which is an excellent opportunity for us to sell it to
our target customers. Our product is not yet well-known in the marketplace. Hence, we want to
introduce this product to the market so that customers may try something they have never tried
before that is fresh in their minds, as well as nutritious and cheaply priced.
Rare Delicacias is a food production business. We purchase goods, transform them, and
offer them at a very reasonable price. It is also a Partnership Business in which participants,
referred to as partners, such as our groupmates, agreed to cooperate and collaborate for progress.
We expect rapid sales of the product at Bukidnon National High School, where it will be made
accessible.
Our plan is to provide an unfamiliar sort of product with a twist and various health
advantages. Chayote fries are not well-known in the Philippines, where only potato and banana
fries are often served. It is rare to hear the term "Chayote Fries" even in its name. Thus, to make
our chayote more appetizing and hypnotic, we contemplated the addition of components, such as
additional fillings and sauce, to enhance its flavor. Some may wonder why we choose Chayote
Fries. Because we have noticed impulsive purchases of snacks that might cause tooth decay,
diarrhea, harmful body responses, and a great deal more, we want to raise snacks to a healthier and
more innovative status. According to Netmeds.com, chayote is rich in vitamin C, potassium,
magnesium, manganese, copper, vitamin B9 (folate), calcium, and iron, in addition to a substantial
quantity of dietary fiber. Chayote aids in lowering blood pressure, enhancing liver function,
avoiding cancer and inflammation, and delaying the onset of aging. Chayote is not like potatoes
or banana fries, but it has a peculiar flavor that is genuinely delicious, and eating it makes you feel
healthy. Therefore, our business will provide every student with a fresh, nutritious snack at an
inexpensive price.
We drew inspiration for our business's name from the notion that our product is distinctive
and uncommon compared to the average fries on the market. This is the genesis of our company's
name, Rare Delicacias. "Rare" for the concept that Chayote Fries are a rare commodity, and
"Delicacias" as a play on the term "delicacies" with a little modification to make it seem a bit
different and fancier.

MACHINES
Chayote Fries is a type of delicacy that requires frying in a pan of heated oil. In our
production process, the only machine we have is a burner for frying our product.
We adopted the production system of the market vendors, who prepare their products on a
hot stove. The cost of the gasoline stove is 100 pesos for the whole production of our product.
We opted for the burner instead of the electric cooker due to the high electricity
consumption associated with the electric cooker. Moreover, unlike an electric machine, a stove
can withstand faster and lengthier cooking without overheating.
MATERIALS
These are the raw materials in making Chayote Fries: Chayote, Ginisa Mix, Ketchup,
Mayonnaise, Breadcrumbs, Oil, Egg, Flour, Tissue, and Cardboard tray, with an overall cost of 210
pesos.
Our suppliers are Aldeguer Shop and Gaisano. With their constant stocks, we are
confident that we can produce enough products on schedule.
