National foreword
This British Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee PEL/23 and
is identical with IEC Publication 1009-2-2 Residual current operated
circuit-breakers with integral overcurrent protection for household and similar
uses (RCBO’s) — Part 2-2: Applicability of the general rules to RCBO’s
functionally independent of line voltage.
This British Standard is one of a series in which the other publications are as
follows:
BS EN 61009-1:1995, Residual current operated circuit-breakers with integral
overcurrent protection for household and similar uses (RCBO’s) —
Part 1: General rules.
BS EN 61009-2-1:1995 Residual current operated circuit-breakers with
integral overcurrent protection for household and similar use (RCBO’s) —
Part 2-1: Applicability of the general rules to RCBO’s functionally independent of
line voltage.
Where reference is made to “Part 1”, this should be taken to mean
“BS EN 61009-1”.
A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a
contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application.
