    CONSTITUTION AND BY - LAWS

    Cagayan National High School


    Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department

    GOSPEL “God’s Students Proclaiming “Ekklesia Life”:


    A CHISTIAN GROUP ORGANIZATION

    CONSTITUTION

    ARTICLE I. NAME AND ADDRESS

    Section 1. A Christian-based Orgnization shall be called GOSPEL or “God’s


    Students Proclaiming Ekklesia Life” of Cagayan National High
    School, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province under the supervision
    of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department;

    Section 2. The GOSPEL Organization or “God’s Students Proclaiming Ekklesia


    Life” shall have its address at Cagayan National High School,
    Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province.

    ARTICLE II. PURPOSE

    Section 1. The purposes of this organization are:

    a. To nurture and equip students to be servant-leaders for Christ forming their


    Christian values, knowledge, and character based in their relationship
    with the Lord;

    b. To reach out students and teachers and be transformed in faith and love of Jesus
    Christ in their lives;

    c. To help members grow and develop their personality in a holistic way founded
    in the fear of God for them to become good models and great
    influencers in the "Ekklesia" or "Community";

    d. To participate and partner with other campus organizations, students, youth


    leaders, faculty, and administration to be advocates of transformation in
    the campus.

    ARTICLE III. BASIS OF FAITH

    Section 1. The bases of this organization are the basic doctrines of the Christian
    faith which are the following:

    a. The unity of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit in the Godhead;


    b. The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption, and final judgment;
    c. The divine inspiration and the entire trustworthiness of the Holy Scriptures, the
    originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and
    conduct;
    d. The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since fall, rendering them subject
    to God's wrath and condemnation;
    e. Redemption from the guilty, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely
    through the sacrificial death (as our Representative and substitute) of
    the Lord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God;
    f. The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His
    ascension to the right hand of God the Father;
    g. The presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration;
    h. The justification of the sinner to the grace of God through faith alone;
    i. The in dwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer;
    j. The one Holy Universal Church welch is the Body of Christ and to which all
    through believers belong; and
    k. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    ARTICLE IV. MEMBERSHIP

    Section 1. Membership and the fellowship shall be open to all students and faculty
    members who believe in the Basis of Faith, affirm and support the
    purposes of the organization. Admission is voluntary in
    nature;

    Section 2. There shall be two kinds of membership:


    a. Regular Membership for students with the right to vote and hold office; and
    b. Honorary membership for members of the organization and graduates of
    CNHS.

    ARTICLE V. OFFICERS AND DUTIES

    Section 1. The elected officers of the ORGANIZATION shall be the following:

     President
     Vice - President
     Secretary
     Treasurer
     Auditor
     Public Information Officers
     Peace Officers
     Social Managers
     Grade Level Representatives.
    The elected officers shall be responsible for the design and implementation of
    their plan of actions for the benefit of the school and the students during their
    term office which will be for one school year.

    Section 2. There shall be one adviser who is a full time ESP teacher, appointed by
    the Department Head and the Christian Organization Consultant
    and approved by the School Head. The adviser shall be in agreement to
    the aims and purposes of the organization and shall monitor, supervise
    and ensure the proper conduct and implementation of all programs and
    activities as reflected in their plan of action.

    ARTICLE VI. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

    Section 1. The Executive Committee shall be composed of the officers, and such
    others as the Committee may add from time to time.

    Section 2. The responsibilities of the committee are:

    a. To carry out the purpose, general policies, and programs of the organization as
    efficiently ss possible.
    b. To call the annual Executive Committee meeting for consideration of new
    officers, and submission of reports of the various activities for the
    school year.
    c. To be responsible for the continuity and functionality of the organization for
    each school year.

    ARTICLE VII. MEETINGS


    Section 1. Meetings for carrying out the purpose of the organization shall be
    scheduled by the Executive Committee.

    Section 2. Meetings for the transaction of business shall be held on the schedule set
    by the Executive Committee;

    Section 3. The annual meeting shall be held on the last month of the school year of
    the school;

    Section 4. Special meetings shall be called by the Executive Committee if necessary.

    Section 5. The Executive Committee shall men regluty for the evaluation of the
    affairs of the organization for at least once a month.

    Section 6. When called for a meeting or transaction, a simple majority of the


    members of the committee who are present shall constitute
    quorum.

    ARTICLE VIII. FUNDS

    Section 1. To sustain the program and operations, the organization shall raise funds
    from the membership fees and donations of the regular members
    and honorary members;

    Section 2. It shall hold fund raising activities for its programs and projects,

    Section 3. The organization shall decide through casting of votes the amount of the
    monthly dues and fines from the regular members;

    Section 4. No funds will be spent without the knowledge and approval of the
    Executive Committee.

    ARTICLE IX. CONSTITUTION AND AMENDMENTS

    Section 1. The Constitution shall be adopted upon approval of two - thirds vote of the
    members.

    Section 2. Amendments to this constitution shall not be valid unless a copy has been
    approved in the office of EsP Department and the CNHS
    Administration.

    BY - LAWS

    ARTICLE I. MEMBERSHIP

    Section 1. Membership shall be both by invitation and application;

    Section 2. Each bonafide member of the organization shall contribute a membership


    fee amounting to 5.00 (Voluntary);

    Section 3. There shall be Membership Committee, responsible for extending the


    invitation to potential members, as well as for accepting and
    evaluating applicants for membership;

    Section 4. The Chairman, as well as the members of the Membership Committee is


    appointed by the Executive Committee.

    ARTICLE II. OFFICERS AND DUTIES


    Section 1. The duties of the President are follows:

    a. Chairs of the Executive Committee and preside over its meetings;


    b. Oversees the entire organization, coordinates its activities, and presides over its
    annual meetings, sed
    c. Represents the organization in dealing with the Administration and with other
    clubs and youth organizations

    Section 2. The duties of the Vice-President are as follows:

    a.Presides over meetings in the absence of the President


    b. Executes other duties designated to him/her by the Executive Committee; and
    c. Takes charge of the internal affairs as deemed needed by the organization.

    Section 3. The duties of the Secretary are as follows:

    a. Keep minutes of meetings, list of members, a copy of chapter constitution, and


    such other records and documents as are necessary for the efficient function of the
    fellowship; and
    b. Prepares and keeps correspondence.

    Section 4. The duties of the Treasurer are as follows

    a. Keeps accounts of income and expenditure of the fellowship;


    b. Prepares the semester and annual financial report;
    c. Collects and controls the organizations funds including its disbursement;
    d. Appoints and authorizes any member to assist him, and collect donation and
    solicitation.

    Section 5. The duties of Auditor are as follows:

    a. Checks funds of the organization


    b. Examines and approves the book of accounts and other financial reports of the
    treasurer
    c. Keeps a copy of the income and expenditures of the organization; and
    d. Advices the Executive Committee of the financial status of the organization.

    Section 6. The duties of the Public Information Officer are as follows:

    a. Publicizes the activities of the fellowship within the CNHS;


    b. Acts as Presidents representative in dealing with the campus organizations and
    groups when the President authorized him to do so

    Section 7. The duties of the Peace Officer are as follows :

    a. Act as a representative of the organization; and


    b. Represents the group to other organizations

    Section 8. The duties of Social Manager are:

    a. Coordinates the activity properly;


    b. Oversees the implementation of the activities.

    Section 9. The duty of the Representatives is to:

    Represents the proposals of each grade level
