V. Knowledge to guide the teachers on the right and appropriate Code of Ethics for
Teachers
VII. Next Plan of Action (Teachers are expected to be a good role model at all times)
REFLECTION
The Code of Ethics for professional teachers outlines a set of principles that
guides the teachers to discharge their duties towards students, parents, colleagues,
community, and teaching practices and performance or the teaching profession. It
defines acceptable behavior and what a teacher should and should not do. Teachers
should maintain and improve the ability of all learners through inclusive participation in
the school and community. A professional code of ethics outlines that teachers are
committed to improving the educational process by producing the highest possible
outcome for students.
The purpose of the code of ethics for instructors is to protect the rights of
children, all kids. Teachers must recognize that by accepting a teaching post, they are
agreeing to adhere to the code of ethics. I wasn't aware of some of the contents, so I'm
pleased we went over it. Teachers are supposed to treat all of their students fairly and
not to take advantage of their position. You can't take expensive gifts from students, for
example, because it can appear that you're biased. Because kids are a "captive
audience," you cannot force your personal opinions on them. You must maintain a
professional relationship with all students and not allow it to become too informal. In their
teaching careers, teachers can use a code of ethics to assist them create a secure,
productive, and positive learning environment. Teachers are expected to maintain high
standards that will help all students reach their full potential by promoting meaningful and
inclusive engagement in the classroom, school, and community. When making
educational judgments, the Ethical Principles foster positive connections between
instructors, students, and parents. Further, by fostering a positive relationship between
students, parents, and teachers, all parties can increase teaching and learning activities
and resources, hence improving the individual's educational outcomes. Furthermore, the
Code of Ethics encourages teachers to improve teaching and learning activities in the
classroom by utilizing current data and professional knowledge. Teachers may do their
best for each student if they keep up with new trends and current information through
professional development and ongoing education.
