 AIM: This test is designed to test students’ oral language ability at the end of semester II.
 TESTER:
 All students will be tested by FOREIGN TEACHER.
 Vietnamese teaching assistant controls the class during the speaking test.
 TIME ALLOWANCE: Max: 3 mins/ a student (including 1 minute to prepare)
 PROCEDURE: The test is divided into 2 parts
 Interview. (1p)  0.25ps for each correct answer
 Students have to answer 4 out of 6 questions
 The teacher asks, and students answer, any four of the questions.
Example: T: What’s your address?
S: It’s 105, Hoa Binh Lane.
 Each student gets 1 point for each correct answer:
 0.25 point for grammar,
 0.25 point for pronunciation,
 0.5 point for the best reaction with the greatest fluency
 Look and answer the questions (1.5ps)  0.5 ps for each correct answer.
 Students choose one of three pictures. Then answer any three questions.
 The teacher asks, and students answer, any three questions on the picture.
(3 questions per picture)
 Students get 1.5 points for each correct answer:
 0.5 point for grammar,
 0.5 point for pronunciation,
 0.5 point for the best reaction with the greatest fluency.
Example: Picture 1: T: What is her name?

S: No, she isn’t. She is a student.
NOTE: At the end of the speaking test, the teachers are required to:
 Write students’ scores in the score box
