Issues that will delay your transcript from being issued by UMass Global
1) Payment Plan.
If you plan to finish the class in the minimum required 30 days, then DO NOT use the
payment plan. Your registration is not sent into UMass Global until both payments are
made, and your registration has to be in before the university can issue a transcript.
Once we send in the registration (Tuesdays), UMass Global takes a week to get you
into their system, at which time you can take the final, a grade has to be posed in
UMass Global’s system, and then a transcript can be issued. If you are in this situation,
make your second payment as soon as you can, so that your registration can be sent to
UMass.
The final exam CANNOT be taken until UMass Global has you in their system!
Once you have finished your coursework AND your teacher has all your hand graded
assignments completed, email [email protected] and they will help you get
set up for the final by pulling your grades, having you sign your receipt(s) and signing
the grade disclaimer. They will then connect you with the online proctor, which is a
separate business from Westcott, and your appointment will be made by the online
proctor. You cannot book an appointment with the online proctor until your grade
disclaimer has been signed. Don't forget to take your lecture and lab together.
During the month of August, it is SUPER busy and delays getting an appointment with
the proctor and being able to order a transcript from UMass Global will occur.
2) DO NOT PUT OFF FINISHING YOUR COURSE UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE OR
YOU MOST LIKELY WILL NOT GET YOUR TRANSCRIPT BY YOUR DEADLINE!
Thus, if you are in a situation to finish in July, it will be in your benefit to do so. Once
you finish the final, your grade will go into UMass Global in an overnight batch, and they
need at least three business days to post your grade in their system. UMass will send
an auto email when they have your grade posted. Check your spam box for this email
as well. Do not call or email Westcott about an unposted grade in your UMass portal
unless it has been more than three business days. You can then order a transcript from
UMass Global, and they take 24-48 business hours to send out a digital transcript.
Save at least a week to get an appointment with the online proctor, at least a week after
your final exam for UMass Global to post the grade in their system and to process your
transcript order.
After we send your registration into UMass Global, they send you an email with your
UMass portal login information. This email will also contain your UMass student ID. This
email could have gone to your spam box, so check it. If you are on the payment plan or
if you have been enrolled in the class less than three weeks, your registration may not
have been sent in yet. If you never logged into your UMass portal and changed the
temporary password they gave you, then you will need to email UMass at
[email protected] to get a new temporary password.
