Quantitative Data and Qualitative Data:

Quantitative Data:
Quantitative data consists of numerical values that
can be measured and quantified.

It deals with quantities and is often expressed using

numbers.

Examples of quantitative data include age, height,

weight, income, and the number of products sold.

This type of data can be analyzed using statistical

techniques.
Qualitative Data:
Qualitative data, also known as categorical or
non-numeric data, represents categories or
attributes.

It cannot be measured in a meaningful way with

numbers alone.

Examples of qualitative data include gender,

color, marital status, and product categories.

Qualitative data is typically analyzed by counting

and categorizing
What is an outlier?

An outlier is an observation or data point that

significantly deviates from the other data points in a
dataset.

It is a value that is unusually high or low compared to

the majority of the data.

Outliers can skew statistical analyses and distort the

interpretation of data.

Identifying and handling outliers is important in data

analysis to ensure the accuracy of results and models.
Can you give an example of root cause analysis?

Root cause analysis is a systematic process used to

identify the underlying causes of a problem or an event.

It involves investigating the chain of events that led to a

particular outcome to determine the primary cause or
causes.

An example of RCA might involve examining why a

manufacturing process resulted in defective products.

The analysis would delve into factors such as equipment

malfunction, operator error, or material quality issues to
identify the root cause and implement corrective actions.

website.
Customer Churn Rate: Percentage of customers who stop using a
