EXPERIENCES
MODELING AND CONTROL ENGINEER
For NOMADE ENGINEERING, since april 2024,
Context
Development and Modeling of an Advanced Battery Management Algorithm for Thermal Heating System
Security (Client Stellantis) :
Missions
Design and implementation of a sophisticated algorithm for managing the charge and discharge limits
of batteries, crucial for preventing thermal degradation and ensuring safe, optimal use.
Modeling of an advanced control sequence based on the battery's operational states:
• ST (Short Term) state: Battery management at maximum power and current for 2 seconds to meet high
energy demands while maintaining operational safety.
• LT (Long Term) state: Operation at moderate power and current for 10 seconds, reducing thermal and
electrical stress and limiting the risk of overheating.
• ET (Extended Term) state: Operation at low power and current for 30 seconds, enabling full recovery
and stabilizing electrochemical parameters to extend battery life.
This repetitive cycle enables efficient management of charge and discharge scenarios, balancing energy
performance requirements and protection against extreme conditions.
