R// It could be defined as a complex of activities that the company deploys to use resources in
order to obtain benefits in order to produce certain goods or services capable of satisfying needs
or solving problems, within the limits of a budget and a given period of time.
2. How would you define the concept of project management? Are they the same principles
of classical management (plan, organize, integrate, direct and control) used in project
management or will there be differences? Explain your answer.
R// We can say that project management is the methodology which is possible to use, efficiently,
the resources that a certain project has, which, unlike classic management, the elements or
principles that it implements are planning, organization , execution and control.
Project management is a temporary organizational structure designed to achieve results with the
help of specialists from all parts of the company. No, since project management is encompassed
by intangible tools, professional skills and values such as ethics, leadership, motivation,
teamwork, decision making, etc.
3. If you had to define concepts or groups of concepts and themes? What would be those
blocks of project management (PA) that would be interrelated and how could their
operation be explained?
R// Every project has a beginning and an end, the administration of a project can deliver or yield
changes defined by quantitative and qualitative objectives but the main blocks of project
management or the most important of these refer to the field of administration where we can find
the planning, direction and control of resources, these three objectives are the fundamental pillars
for the realization of any idea or process to be executed, without planning there would be no idea
or action to be carried out.
4. Define the following concepts and give examples of the program, project portfolio,
activities and tasks?
R// According to PMI, portfolio is the mega structure that covers programs, projects, operations
and other work to achieve strategic objectives.
For example, a company whose strategic objective is to maximize its profitability could well have
a portfolio of mixed oil and gas, energy, water, roads, railways and airports projects.
For example, if it is about achieving a greater share (%) in the market for a specific product or
service, some projects of the program would be: market study availability of physical
infrastructure, distribution capacity, adequacy of working capital and trained personnel and
trained in sales, credit and collections. To have a closer idea of portfolios and projects.
Activities These are actions that imply a greater degree of concreteness of the projects, it is the
means of intervention on reality through the sequential and integrated performance of various
actions necessary to achieve the specific results of a project.
Tasks are the actions that have the highest degree of concreteness and specificity. A set of tasks
configures an activity, among the many that must be carried out to complete a project, for
example:
5. WHAT, FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW, COULD THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE
PROJECT BE? RELATE IT TO THE LIFE CYCLE OF A PERSON.
R// The product life cycle is the process through which a commercial item goes from its
conception to its release from the market.
The cycle determines the 5 stages of a product:
Development Maturity
Introduction Slope
Growth
Life cycle is the life process of an organism from its birth to its death. They are related in that both
have a beginning and an end. In general, the life cycle is divided into four stages:
Birth Reproduction
Developmen Death
t
These phases of a life cycle are applicable to all people and things.
6. Why do you think PA is important? Explain it in light of successes and failures.
R// Project management presents a great opportunity to complete a project, from leading a
company team and getting its members integrated, to seeking its greatest optimization either in
time or resources.
Project Management is essential to fulfill the mission of an organization, since, through it, change
processes are triggered with a strategic vision of coupling, overall and synergy between the
